Great guide man. Returning M3 player, and I just wanted to point out, since it wasn't explicitly said (in case others missed it, I almost did) is that there is a probe cut before adding on extra gateways.

Heyyyy Hu Shang! I started out around a couple months ago as Zerg and haven't done ranked yet but have maxed out my race to Level 50 in Multiplayer. Your channel has been EXTREMELY helpful for all three races especially on the build order side of things. If I could suggest a potential video though, I think unit compositions on each race would be nice unless everyone knows exactly what to do and I'm just a noob. 😂

Im D2 toss. Ive about 66% win rate pvp and pvz, but pvt is like 20% and really holding me back. I find it so hard to scour whats coming and have been getting a lot of multi tank drops into the main or just simply 3rd denial with bio. Not to mention late game is feeling hopeless. What am i supposed to do vs tank+thor? It seems when they get 8 or more tanks, any geound army cant get near them, but the air gets wiped out by a few thors. And im reduced to gurilla warefare and eventually get ground down.

I believe disruptors are a good way to defend against heavy mech, since they're slow and can't dodge attacks.

Yeah, scouting Terran can be a bit complicated at times. It's hard for me to address this type of problem without seeing your replays/doing a coaching session but one common mistake I see a lot in diamond is making early immortals instead of early observers. In regards to the second question, I don't think my answer will help because it sounds more like an economy/scouting problem for dealing with tank+thor, but what you want to be doing is building lots of immortals.

@@HuShang thanks for advice. More observers it is!!!! And i watched over my own replys last night. I think i found a bogger problem. Ive an awful habit of waiting with a probe selected, for enough money to make my building. Or waiting with my building selected for the money to upgrade. I could/should be looking around the map at the point. Onwards and upwards!!.

Is it worth getting the robo before the twilight if you are only going to build 1 observer and then leave it idle for a really long time? If you need the scout on the terran production, you could just get a fast sentry. Not to mention chronoboosting the observer, it doesn't even take 30 seconds to build so the chrono doesn't even get fully used.

Sentry is only better for top pro players due to the top terrans always scanning/killing the obs. If you're anywhere below the pro level the observer is considerably better.

Armor is okay too in this matchup. Armor benefits zealots a lot. Colossus builds benefit a lot from attack upgrades. We're making a lot of both so either should be quite solid.

This build is better once you've mastered the basics. The four gate build is a good way to develop early skills though

The other day I played a similar b.o. and terran hit me at 5m30s with stimmed MM that killed everything pretty much instantly (it was a 5 rax push, no fax, no starport but terran even took a 3rd behind that!). Like in your build here, I had only 7 stalkers at that time and a colossus was building (even sinced 5m15s). How should I have handled this? This was D2, not GM - I'm really lost.

you can add some more units once you scout with the first obs at 4:15-4:30ish. If you see 3 rax then you could add an immortal + extra warp in + sb for example

Delay tech, shield battery, make more units. Utilize the blink to harass his units as he moves towards your base

Always go robo against 3 rax. After robo there are options: 1) Fast colossi 2) Glave adepts allin with immortals & 4-5 sentries 3) Just build whatever you can, i.e. immortals, adepts, sentries, stalkers

why you shouldn't mess with the mineral line saturation? is bad to have oversaturation for a few seconds?

Yeah, it causes some problems that makes your mining worse unless you babysit the probes. It doesn't really get you more money either unless its for a longer period where the probes have time to settle

Go blink first for sure. It will help you catch medivacs.

You can send a second obs or you can use a hallucinated phoenix. Make sure to join squadshang discord, there are lots of strong players that can answer your questions also :)

Been playing Starcraft since the original dropped day 1 in the 90s! Played SC2 quite a bit when all 3 campaigns dropped. Just got back into the ladder last week right as they say they’re going to stop making content for it! Figures lol

Disruptors is the strongest transition. After they take a 3rd you can get more tech if you want to play defensive.

Against zerg you should form a wall at your 2nd base. Against the other races it doesnt matter too much at first.

this guide is maybe for those 1k mmr terran, they have the power to build fast enough in order to overwhelm you fast enough before you finish your 2nd colossus. so unless the terran have 40 apm or lower, i wouldnt recommend it

Bro I got masters 3 in one ranked split of sc2 just using mass stalkers without upgrades or blink just using a warp prism for warp in mobility and massed stalkers. Also rule of thumb proxy 4 gate zealot for Zerg and Toss

Really good video for explaining build orders to beginners if I hit these basic timings and use my game sense from a season generally my apm means nothing unless I’m all inning or cheesing.
