Strategy: rush baneling burrow and burrow banes in the mineral lines of bases your opponent hasn't expanded to yet. Make sure they are not blocking command centers/nexii/hatches and don't blow them up when an opponent expands. See how many bases you can get away with having mines living before blowing up two, three, N entire mineral lines at once.

I am not very good at SC2 but i have found a good strat for 2v2: Both play as terran: one player goes mass mass siege tanks and the other player goes bio with some siege tanks into BC. It can also work just with one player but it is harder to do the strat because you would run out of resources quicker because u would be making stuff that kills air type units.

When Starcraft 2 first came out, there were terrans that would kill a few of their own scvs and load the rest of their workers into the command center, and type out a message like “Error: pairing server exception 302” and fly into the corner of the map and not bot anything. The enemy would look for their base and not find anything, get confused, and leave.

Regarding to workers, because of that original plan to gather minerals from outside of ground they were made as "hovering" type. Because of that workers in SC1 don't activate Spider Mines. Same with Vultures and AFAIR Archons (both types). They still take damage from mines though.

I want to see a zerg forest - abuse the fact that there's no limit to the number of buildings, and have crawlers everywhere. You'll need queens to spread creep and start up, and you'll probably want Vipers to pull longer-ranged units into the forest. (Yes your siege tanks outrange my spine crawlers, and can take them out with splash damage - but how many of them can you stand to have hit you at once?) I'd probably start with a proxy hatch at the third - mostly to apply soft pressure with queens (and maybe some zerglings) to contain the opponent. Consider it expendable as you expand as fast as possible behind, and just max out on drones to build the bank for the crawlers. Rush to greater spire for the Vipers, and ignore the other upgrades/buildings as much as possible. You can then either let them mine out while contained, or slow-push the creep into their bases.

The only theory craft I have, is about placing cannons with shield batteries at key choke points and locations, for long term economic value. Admittedly I play very little, but enough cannons and shield batteries in the right locales plus some scattered assorted units might make for an out of the ordinary game. This one protoss strategy, it'll only work if the enemy doesn't scout but: grab three expansions with your only early army being a canon and a stalker and then start expanding by spreading canons like they're creep and behind those canons there are tempests sniping the enemy's army whenever he trys and attack one of your bases

My silly strategy is what i call "Jerycho Airstrike" Basically rush ten ghost academies and drop nukes at enemy bases in batches of five, to one hit the mining base. Tactic obviously very easy to counter on higher ranks, but sole joy from screaming "JERYCHO!" as all of enemy bases gets eradicated in synchronised nuclear strike is amazing

Lowko, I have a strategy for you, You have to make 8 disraprors, 15 zealots, 5 archons and 15 stalkers and kill your opponent with perfect disraptor shots and finish him with your army, if your attack fails you lose

-Strategy- Persistent gas deny. Not necessarily stealing the gas, though that may be part of it. When you are constantly taking away the gas and it's workers, you limit which types of workers they can get and which upgrades they can get, to just a select few options, which are easier to plan and strategize for.

About the stupid strats, this is a reason why I like team games better than 1v1, it's always fun to hop in with friends and all do completely random strats, sometimes backing eachother. I remember using a wheel with every single unit in the game on it that decides what I should proxy, it not always ends well

No creep tumors, just use the "drop creep" on an overlord. I have actually seen this on the ladder. Also, if you want to play Protoss, try doing a proxy tempest shield battery rush against Zerg. PartinG has a good build for this.

Two wacky strat suggestions: Option 1-Sentries hallucinating probes, you get 4 probes each cast, then send with mass zealot so there are literally too many things to click on (or hallucinate zealots because you get 2 each cast, and very hard to distinguish real from fake) Option 2- mass overseers and steuctures.... like full on lock down all their structures indefinitely so they cannot build workers or army, if you get enough overseers then also contaminate upgrade structures :D

@LowkoTV - I'm a big fan of proxy thor drop + liberators in TvZ. Essentially, you begin by proxying a barracks + while walling off at home with supply depots. I'm usually hoping for my opponent to scout my wall off, because they will usually respond by building a bunch of lings or spines (both are awful vs this strategy). Anyway, after the proxy barracks finishes, build a reactor on it and also proxy a factory next to it. Once the reactor finishes up, lift the barracks and fly it all the way back home. Meanwhile, add a tech lab to the factory & drop a proxy starport down on the reactor & build an armory back home. Then once all that finishes, you should have just enough to produce a thor + medivac + liberator.... which is very deadly vs early game zerg. You should be able to siege up the liberator on his main (make sure you get it on the larva). Then you can drop the thor in the lib circle for cover and hot pick it up if it gets surrounded by lings. The thor will melt spores and queens while the liberator will take care of everything else. If the thor gets low, boost out drop mules and repair.... while making follow up hit squads of Thor + Medivac + Libs to hit him at different angles. I usually get a 2nd and 3rd orbital either to drop more mules. Lastly, you'll find that you end up floating a bit too much minerals with the strategy toward the end since it's so gas heavy. Therefore, I sometimes stick this into a bunch of barracks / marines which can set up for a bio transition. In my games it's not uncommon to have a thor with +40 kills from being dropped in and boosted out many times over. I can shoot over some replays if you'd be interested.

About crazy strats. A long time ago (I think 8 Years or so) Tarson played a game with mass (and I mean mass) Marines and BCs. He won against Bainling / Corrupter! I tried that stuff in private games and it worked (for the low, low level I can play) I wonder if it would still work but it was kind of crazy.

I remember doing the command center rush ing 3v3 games... building 3 commander centers and each carrying an SCV... then landing outside an enemy base and converting them all to planetary fortresses while each had and SCV repairing... then if that survived, ringing them with missile turrets and buting factorys behind them. Purely designd to cripple the expantions.

Haven't ever played this strat, but I've heard about it: constantly send unit pokes, baiting your opponent to counter them. Each next poke is the counter to their counter, iterating through as many units as possible.

After a standard opening with 1 barracks 1 factory 1 Starport and making a reactor on both the racks and factory went and started with 6 vikings vs a zerg which culled out his overlords first just the ones he used for scouting then added more and kept working on sniping down overlords while having a defensive set of widowmines hellions and even more Vikings and occasionally transforming Vikings to murder some workers

Strategy Ideas. 1. Pretend to build into mass expensive unit that has an obvious counter or rushing battlecruisers while building up something else like mass marine. When they all in counter, counter their counter with your main force. 2. Block and steal their expansion, containing them on one base. 3. Use overlords to spread creep faster with their creep ability. Also do a queen drop where you take queens all over the map and mass drop tumors in critical locations, focusing on where command centers would go to block the building. Requiring a great deal of detection effort to expand. 4. Build a shield battery base near your opponent and use that as a fall back to attack expansions. Increase shield tech ASAP and use hit and run tactics and keeping units alive. 5. Mass Valkyrie supported by SCV's & Ravens as needed. 6. Focus roach burrowing tech to sneak around and hit and run. Supported by air units to focus on detectors and air threats. 7. Tech up and build mass zealot production to spam an endless supply of them with some kind of anti air as needed. 8. Build bunkers in expansion areas with a few marines to slow and annoy opponents. 9. Build up the economy to build an endless supply of a simple unit such as marine, zealots or zerglings with methods of quick transportation in and around the enemy base to drop off and fight.

I had only tried two weird strategies so far: The first is the zerg mothership, a timeless classic For the second one I rushed burrow as zerg and put up baneling minefields in the mineral lines of future enemy expansions. That essentially gave me a big red button to nuke their economy at will. I was lucky that my enemy didn't have detection. Could probably also work quite welll with roaches.

Once I've played a game of 2vs2, and at the early stage of the game I have built barracks to block off exit of the opposite team... It did slow them down, as zergs like to expand:P so while they were trying to get out of their little corner we already pushed further with economy and units:D
