The knocking at 20:57 really messed with me. I got up twice (and had to rewind) because I thought someone was knocking on the door. It's the middle of the night right now, so it was quite unnerving. Even now that I know that the sound is from the video, it sounds real. I'm using headphones. I'm not sure if that is a factor or not.

Damage from Star Trek phasers was pretty inconsistent over the years. Sometimes one shot and you'd see layers of skin peeling off until there was nothing left but an alien imposter who'd infiltrated Starfleet, other times the person would be wounded and dying slowing like a normal bullet.

Yeah, the zats... they kinda decided to deliberately ignore the disintegrate function on the zats in later episodes because the realized it was either stupid or horrifically overpowered. Meanwhile, Star Trek had vaporize settings on normal Type-II phasers. Actually, vaporize on sidearms wasn't uncommon in Star Trek (the Klingons, for instance, used it now and again). Star Wars features it as well, albeit less prominently, called out in Empire Strikes Back with Boba "No Disintegrations!" Fett. The title character in The Mandalorian series also has a rifle that disintegrates targets.

Looks to me in a way that the zerg might have been on one of the lower steps of the 'Staircase Method' With the SM you self-restrict your unit pool until you prove you can manage the extra load, while keeping up your macro. That's the VERY BROAD gist of it. Mind you though... how many times do you need to see the enemy has a perfect setup against one of your 3 choices and not drop it in favour of your other two??

8:48 Yes, thanks to your videos the minute I see myself get about 1500 minerals, I *DO* just expand like crazy. But then the enemy attacks me and then I lose because I just spent 1200 minerals on building Nexi and Pylons instead of more chargelots to counter the now FIVE BCs coming to my base. I've only jumped from Silver II to Sliver I. And by the time the new season comes, I'll be back to Sliver II.

If you float 1.5k minerals, expand with 1 base and build more gateways! Expanding 2 times does not make sense most of the times because the 2nd base just doesn't do anything while you send your workers to the first new base. If you get more warpgates you create an opportunity to spend your income If you float money again. Just always try to have 1 base more than your opponent, in most times this is perfectly fine.

In the original Star Trek series phasers (when not on a stun setting) usually just caused whoever got shot to freeze, glow for a second, then fade out of existence. But it's been super inconsistent over the years and different series.
