Interesting note: the motif at 43:19 to 43:40 is a more epic rendition of a very commonly heard music piece in the game, probably best known on KZbin as the Evolution 1 track (It first appeared in Heart of the Swarm, but then is used a lot throughout Legacy of the Void). Evolution 2 also sometimes adopts parts of that theme as well. I think this might be the devs favorite track in the game lol, it's used a ton in HotS and LotV

I still think the titular song is the most badass thing I've heard in a long time. Freaking bone chilling in the first 10 seconds. The last part of the soundtrack plays at the end of the campaign I think (the last cinematic). The most profound ending in the Starcraft series, imo. The music just accentuates it all the more. Epic stuff :)

I never got into Starcraft until just a few weeks ago, so I never played SC1, but Wings of Liberty is an awesome campaign. Story is a bit dull but the missions are quite varied and a lot of fun.

I agree. Something that I liked about Wings was that the Zerg were a race to be feared. They were threatening and monstrous, and so it was more dramatic to fight them. Fighting Mengsk was fun but it didn't have the same emotional impact.

One of the main reasons I listen to video ame music is to relive the moment in that particular game. "Man Wheatley was a fun boss to fight" or "OH SH*T! Primal zerg converging on my location from all sides!" or "That cinematic was epic (e.g. Arthus kills his father)" well you get the point...

Ever think it might be a good thing that most of the tracks share the same kind of sound? In my opinion it gives the soundtrack as well as the story a sense of congruency, while still changing enough to keep the story and music interesting. Besides while soundtracks are awesome on their own, they really should be experienced with their respective game or movie.

I'd like to vent about two other things about the story that bothered me. First, why was Stukov so ordinary? I thought infested terrans were depraved beings that would blow themselves up to kill people. If Stukov could speak to Gerard again, they would probably have a buddy-buddy meeting... Also, why didn't Kerrigan issue an ultimatum to the people of Korhal: "Give up your corrupt leader (or lay down your arms) and I will kill no other terran." Seems like that would have worked.

As a gamer who usually plays games on their hardest setting, this expansion was easier in comparison to Wings on both hard and brutal. Sure I got stuck on some levels in HotS but not as much as I did in Wings. However, I had more fun with the HotS campaign than in Wings.
