Each has its advantages, I suppose it comes down to personal preference, I like the Dragoon more first because he can handle himself better when you have to multitask defending from enemy atack same time as atacking an enemy expansion you will not be able to micro those Stalker Blinks. Besides the feels having old Fenix back has no price, for people who like to RP Dragoon feels a lot better in a Protoss army. But if you can micro I guess stalkers are better to jump in and out of the fire. But I prefer raw power.

@@RytoNazrul best guess is longevity means surviving multiple battles over time that any other unit wouldn't. Survivability is being able to survive one battle better than any unit in that moment, but might be just as squishy as its counterparts.

Yeah, he's using Survivability to refer to surviving individual battles, through things like the Immortal's Barrier. Longevity refers to helping units last a long time, via the Carrier's Repair drones, or the Sentinel's reconstruction.

Basically what the two great responders have said. I would say that longevity would be more innate, and survivability moreso an external factor that influences the fight temporarily. So longevity would be like a unit with innate high HP, so no matter which fight he goes into he will always have that HP and stays consistent. Meanwhile survivability is moreso like a unit with low HP and a ability that grants temporary invincibility. If you proc the ability, it would likely result in the latter unit surviving the fight, but it can be caught out or the opponent simply outlast the ability, and from there it goes from being invincible to easily squished.

I think Scouts would be better suited to the Purifiers, because they seem to be fairly archaic technology to the Protoss of StarCraft 2 who mostly use Pheonixes instead. And the Purifiers are all about old archaic technology. They could still have the Mirage's Phasing Armor ability. Although that might make them way more powerful than Phoenixes...

I disagree mainly because scouts in Starcraft one were only good for anti air as their anti ground attack didn’t even have the firepower to take out a hydralisk by itself, I’m glad they were gone and only showed up as enemies because that’s how bad they were.

Aiur - Balanced, retains most of the original SC1 units. Nerazim - Stealth, hit and run tactics, has Dark Templars and Dark Archons. Tal’darim - Bloodshed and terror, killing enemies for increasing favor for the dark gods. Purifiers - Army comprised of AI Protoss units, favors survivability and health.

I reckon more people would use the Wraithwalker if it's attack charge-up wasn't as long. It seems half the time the Wraithwalker doesn't fire because its target has died or gone out of range before the attack charges fully.

I honestly think Wraithwalkers are pretty terrible. Their attack speed is low and dealing high damage to a single target just isn't very practical in a game like starcraft where there can be up to 70+ units in an army. Maybe i'd like them more if they had some sort of splash

In short, Aiur: Highly tactical and balanced, both in offense and defense. Nerazim : More about offense, but also tactical in some ways. Specializes in mobility, assassinations, manipulations and tactical retreats. Lack in sieging units. Tal'darim: Aggressive, warlike characteristics. Specializes in offensive tactics. Lack in defensive traits. Purifiers: Highly tactical and robotic. Great for supporting. Lack in diversity.

my 10 year old ass would do the same until recently when i replayed LotV I realized that they are all designed for different situations, not playstyles. this hasn't stopped me from using dragoon, dark archon, and destroyer at every opportunity and makes me do sadness noise that they're all from different factions and can't be used together in coop, and that destroyers are completely non-existent there

To be fair. It depends. For PvZ id go with the Aiur Zealots as their whirlwind attack lets em shred crowds of zerglings easy. I prefer the DT Zealot for fighting terrans as the stun can mean the difference in those marines tearing em a new one or not

@@dragonfable66 That is true, but I did like the sentinels because they were mechanical with the repair beam, however after my recent playthrough my tone changed a lot. Such as swapping the void rays for the destroyers, yes they do more damage to light but they are hitting multiple. but I still swap my stalkers for Dragoons as I never found myself using the blink ability.
