Just as a heads up warning, some of the civilians you need to rescue are in very obscurely hidden locations around the map, so if you actually want the bonus forge points, be prepared for a slog of a hunt.

The only useful vehicles to hijack in this mission are the wreckers (From Prud-19 and Luria), even though they don't benefit from the vehicle upgrades, they have powerful melee air attacks and ranged ground attacks and are also immune to lockdown. Since the Razorface spawns tend to prioritize air units over ground units, the wreckers can help to draw fire from them to allow your ground units to focus them down. The Rim Syndicate also possesses Texan ships that will actively Yamato blast your forces and structures on the ground, unless you quickly mow them down with enough wreckers.

RIP Cecil and Lynx 2024-2024, we hardly knew ye! When LARA suggested to conscript the civilians and Decker disagreed I was like "did they switch roles?", for once he seemed to be the most humane one, but then the objective "KILL the civilians and steal their money" xD yeah that's the Decker we know (and love?)

Also you don't want randos with guns fighting besides real military operations. Military man knows better than to just add more bodies into the fray
