SoO is a big fan of making mostly Zerglings and Banelings. That's exactly what he does in this professional match of StarCraft 2 versus Ryung. While Zerglings are amazing, most Zerg players do eventually transition towards stronger units for a very good reason.

Lore wise: the suit used by ghosts are designed for better protection against environmental hazards like a bath in acid than the marine suit is. They also don't give the same Stims to ghosts because they can become addicted and nothing gives your entire army a headache like a drugged out psychic with PTSD coming down from a fix and starting to fiend.

I believe Ghosts and Banshees have the same cloaking icon so if they are both on the same control group, they can both cloak with the same hot key. In SC1 ghosts and wraiths could do this.

I think EMPing the ghosts is still a good idea because it shortens the amount of time ghosts can cloak during an engagement (which you stated later in the vid) and they won't be as useful if you try to sneak them into your bases for a nuke for that same reason.

There is actually a Lore reason why Ghosts don't have Stimpacks. If you play Nova Special OPS there is a point where you get a Stimpack for her and the flavor text states, that it's incredibly difficult to make a Stimpack that doesn't turn Ghosts into Psychotic Homicidists (more than they are at least) and completely mess with their Psionic powers. So yeah, they're simply not ready for mass production yet like they are for the rank and file Marines ^^

Marines get stim packs which harm their health to Ek out a bit more performance. You don't want your elite troops harming themselves with drugs. You also give the marines generic armour and try to protect the specialist with better armour.

I saw an episode of Shark Tank recently were a special forces sniper op, created an energy supplement without caffeine because he said, snipers don't want any twitch in their trigger fingers or bodies. Since Ghosts are basically elite snipers, I'd imagine that is why they don't use stimpack. Control and precision, is the name of the game for Ghosts.

Just had and idea for Infestor: either as an upgrade or buff, allow the neural parasite to "detach" and finish its duration if the infestor is killed during its channeling of this ability. It would probably require further balance, but its just a 'for fun' idea.

I think, at the lower levels (below GM) for a lot of units there is a big problem with difficulty scaling. That is, a diamond player can use carriers with about 80% efficiency of a pro, whereas a diamond Z cannot fight against carriers more than 30% efficiency of pros, or something like that. But with ghosts, I actually think if people aren't skilled they just bleed out and die. But it doesn't make for great pro games do just see everything get sniped all the time XD

Gameplay over Realism. The priority in unit character design is the recognizable silhouette to identify unit types at a glance. I assume this is the reason why ghosts are Luigis compared to marines being Marios.

Lore wise def zerg. Zerg almost annihilated both Terran and Protoss. But in Sc2 I'd say Terran, the skill ceiling is higher and they have alot of untis that counter everything.

"Blizzard never bothered to give different cloack icons for Ghost and Banshee". Cloacking field is cloacking field. Does every Zerg unit have different burrow icon? No. Also it's legacy of SC1 I guess.

Does burrow need to be researched multiple times for different Zerg units? Because you need 2 separate rsearches done for Banshee and Ghosts so not so great comparision. Going this way, you could just put battery icon on every energy upgrade, be it for Ghosts, Vipers or Templars. Energy is energy, right? You can cast something or not. I could agree with "legacy" thing but the again - if something was overlooked in SC1, doesn't necessary mean it should be also overlooked in SC2
