If erik didn’t make a massive mistake of not spending his cash then probally would of won this series I mean Two kings of off meta and struggled against him. @@isaacsteele7986 The glorious part is that it's not Pool first, it's Hatch first. It's Hatch/Pool before making an overlord so that the Pool is done in time that 4 lings can sneak around the Reaper. If Terran only scouts for the natural & goes back home they'll get a surprise, they're going to need to get the SCV in the main & check out the Pool timing to see it's an early Pool despite being Hatch first.

@@isaacsteele7986 I tested this build vs a 16 Hatch 18 Gas 17 Pool & raced myself to transition into a 2 Base Lair opener where I went into +1 & Roach Speed & with the Erik build I was only 1 drone down at the same time stamps throughout & hit with the same number of Roaches & +1 done like 6 seconds later. So if Terran responds correctly & is 1 SCV down the game is even as Zerg is also only 1 drone behind, however if Terran has basically any other response they're behind (kind of, losing low ground SCV, may also make it even if that's all they lose). Sounds pretty much like there are no drawbacks in that sense.

100% agreed on unexplored territory after 13 years. Ex. The way MaxPax has been using stasis has forced me to reassess the whole "Toss has no map control" or "Protoss player can't risk being caught out on the map right now" mindset.

@@zachariastsampasidis8880 the issue is protos has very few unite so anytime you split up your army then unless your only units are zealots and stalkers you lose so much firepower and protos mostly relies upon aoe so surrounds hurt a ton

ravagers is such a dumb unit design for Zerg i hate to say...Zerg with a ground bombard unit just doesn't make sense. Every race had their own play styles, this unit really merkies the water. They also already have the lurker for siege, and Vipers has abduct and blinding cloud. Terran's more defensive playstyles becomes pretty useless with Zerg having so many options.

Honestly why is the double extractor trick into fast hatch and pool not considered standard? Sure you are down some minerals and larva production time initially but your injects are permanently ahead, your lings can dodge early zealot/reapers by good map movement without needing speed or gas in general Edit

After being a huge fan of your content over the years I find myself a little disappointed in you Simon, you are not PLAYING BAR "Beyond All Reason", I'm not a fan of winters starcraft content and will not watch it, coming here, you are the best and always will be in my eyes for SC2, but his BAR is great so PLEASE PLEASE do content on that, and play with or against winter and the others. It is surprisingly a very fun game "A TA and SC 'Supreme Commander' fan", once I build a new PC to run the blooming thing I can play it.
