i felt the power of the zerg when i played the game for the first time, oh man, i love the options of choosing in which direction the swarm should evolve, i focused on overwhelming the enemy with sheer numbers of high damage units (the mutations i picked for each unit focused on damage), i steamrolled through every mission, whenever one of my creatures died 10 more took its place

I have a confession to make. Zerg were my least favorite race to play. Until the first time this song played in the HotS campaign as I was massing my enemy's base. I laughed an evil laugh as I crushed my foes with superior numbers and I fell in love with the swarm. In the end I'm better for it as now I truly enjoy playing all races in StarCraft. They all have their own unique way of being awesome.

Here are the strengths and weaknesses that i find for each race Strengths Zerg: Fast spreading, incredible mutations, quick army buildups, natural healing Protoss: Their shields, superb abilities, cloaks, warp Terran: Advanced technology, Nukes, Scan, advantages against protoss as they have lockdown, advantages against zerg as they have tanks, the ability to heal with medic Weakness Zerg: Less armor, burrow can be detected, hatchery is the only hope of army Protoss: No way of healing, no pylon results unpowered which means lose, slow buildup Terran: Repairing building is slow and costs minerals,medic is only hope for healing so you need to protect them unless you have a huge army, command center can be infested, if you dont build detectors in time you will be easily defected by lurkers and/or dark templars and/or any cloaked units Overall weakness: If somehow your enemy succeeds on destroying all of your nexuses/hatcheries/command centers before your army suppliers, your remaining resources are your last

This was when Blizzard was still good. The HotS opening cinematic remains one of the best they've made. You see the Terrans, despite being well-prepared, simply unable to match the numbers and ferocity of the Zerg. No matter how many they kill - thousands, millions, even billions of Zerg - the Zerg JUST. KEEP. COMING. But nowadays? Blizzard has really lost its edge.

This is industrial metal. it was pretty big in the 90s. If you want stuff like this, look at bands like Sonic Mayhem, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Stabbing Westward, Static-X, Genitorturers, Ministry, Pitchshifter, Murder Inc., Rammstein, Godhead and Dope to run off the popular ones. Personally, I think this song sounds very similar to A Perfect Circle's "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" more than anything else.
