You know in retrospect, perhaps we should've been a bit more concerned with the fact that the Xel'naga built an energy weapon capable of selectively cleansing a planet of life.

Good gravy, yes! Especially considering the more unsettling possibilities. Can we say Chekhov's Gun crossed with Continent-wide fragrant Foreshadowing?

1:01 The... *first?* Well this temple's got a big Sith Temple on Malachor vibe. Only 8 missions huh, though this is an expansion so I guess it makes sense. Hell the orcs didn't get a normal campaign in Frozen Throne now that I think about it.

Is not Rexxar's campaign an orc's campaign too?
@Roboglenn3876 жыл бұрын
Well yes it is but what I meant was that Rexxar's campaign played more like what I gather Diablo plays like rather than a traditional RTS like the rest of the game. And granted not *every* campaign mission in Warcraft 3 played like a traditional RTS but Rexxar's campaign was primarily Diablo-esque. (You only got to do traditional RTS stuff in the last part of the second act.) So that's what I meant when I said the orcs didn't get a "normal campaign". Not that I had a problem with that, I enjoyed playing Rexxar's campaign (not to mention it introduced both him and Roh'kan, I like these 2 guys). And heck and if Diablo is truly like it perhaps I should give Diablo a shot.

wow, I never thought Gateway units could pull that stunt out. Normally I use a combination of Gateway and Stargate tech, since the Corsair is very zippy and could act as early anti-drop while Dragoons and Zealots clearing the leftover, and Carrier into groupings could prove to be a very strong combo (2 per grouping, 8 total). But Gateway only? No shit.
@cruelangel15166 жыл бұрын
Gateway units are main damage dealer and much stronger than their SC2 counterparts

Not to mention with that many to swarm like, well zerg it's no wonder they overpower. And supplementing with cannons sure must help.

i built 2 command groups of carriers after turtling for 1 hour with photon cannons. It was enough to break every zerg base. i tried with 1 command group at first but would take too many losses. After i wiped out the map i waited down the timer in peace.

No mind controlling a zerg drone to build a 2nd blue zerg force as a backup army?
@cruelangel15165 жыл бұрын
Nah, too much work. Mass cannons is good enough.
@rlouie055 жыл бұрын
@@cruelangel1516 Using Protoss & Zerg side by side is very fun! In fact, you could've simply used hydralisks to defend the temple along with dragoons. Would've that have been fun or would been too crowded?
@rlouie055 жыл бұрын
@@cruelangel1516 Considering that zerg are cheaper and faster to build, you'd think that stealing 1 drone & making your own blue army on the side might've made this mission a tad quicker?
@cruelangel15165 жыл бұрын
@@rlouie05 I think building this much cannons around the temple is already an overkill.
@rlouie055 жыл бұрын
@@cruelangel1516 Not really, as those zerg are coming from all directions, where your 60-70 dragoons might be tested if you only have 12 cannons firing. This is why I rather use the zerg to defense the temple while When I played this level, I actually used the blue zerg force to soften up any air defenses of the northern & eastern islands while coming in with carriers to finish off what's left, given how cheap and quick it is to build a zerg force. Heck, I might replay this level with nothing by hydralisks as the main attack force to see how quick I can wipe out everyone else from this map!
