If I had to guess, they may have planned for the mission to be zerg based, with creatures being infected(makes sense, considering Duran works with Kerrigan in brood war) but they prolly scrapped the idea for whatever reason, and just switched to dark archon mc. Still an interesting find though

What?!‽ This is so incredibly random, ig Duran was just experimenting on immortal broodlings that can make the host not die after being planted in them and this one just happened to break out of containment and infect an ursadon or an ursadon they've intentionally infected managed to escape or or they just don't care if infected ursadons escape or or or the ursadon never escaped in the first place and is just free to walk around nearby the facility.
