My apologies for the background noise in this one. There's a heatwave where I am right now and my microphone picked up the sound of my PC overheating and the fans working overtime. I hope it doesn't take away from your enjoyment of the video. This shouldn't be an issue in the next video :)

I paused directly after the "Alright. Let me talk to ya." (Which is one of, if not the best, intros ever. Both abrupt and intimately friendly. Hearing it sharpens the mind.) I'm highly intrigued by the concept here by the title alone. Stardew Valley is already chock full of loot boxes. Every geode is a lootbox. Many fish come with a lootbox. There are literal RNG lootboxes in the various mines. It's baked into core gameplay. Examples abound! Where is this going? I'm so intrigued! What monkeyshines, malarkey, tom-foolery, and shenanigans will ensue? I 100% trust our kind host on this. He has always steered me right. I am quivering with anticipation! [Unpauses to see the premise and what happens play out]

just got done with a stressful day of school. this calmed me right down, thank you for your calming voice and good contact that has saved me from more panicattacks than I am willing to count. :D
@Scott_Forsell Жыл бұрын
Hi. I've dealt with panic attacks. Life long anxiety fully bloomed in my mid 30s due to to unrelenting stress. My first full-blown panic attack was on a city bus so full I had to stand in the aisle and clutch the overhead bar. My mind was awhirl with personal and professional issues I could not resolve, but was fixated on. I started hyperventilating. I couldn't stop even though I begged with every neuron in my brain to stop, please stop! Everyone can clearly see you're losing it right now and being a super weirdo in public! I thought I has having a heart attack. I thought I was dying. I was over oxygenating and dropped boom like a bag of rice. In the middle of rush hour. On a bus. Everyone saw. I learned a lot that evening. None of it easy or pleasant. I will not tell you how to lead your life. Nope. That is yours to figure out. I was helped greatly by learning, with the help of others, how to consciously control breathing which sounds like the easiest, most natural, basic thing in the world, but it is damn difficult to do when your mind is spiraling seemingly out of control. Learning how to control my breathing was the first step of many. It takes a lot of practice and was the first of many hard steps. I wish you the very best.

I'm really glad this was able to help you because I've been in that position many times before and panic attacks are awful to experience. Take it one day at a time friendo, be kind to yourself and always remember that tomorrow is another day 😊

I just stumbled across this video in my recommendations and i'm super glad! You have a really calm and entertaining style, showing enough of the days so it doesn't feel rushed but also not the whole day so it gets a bit boring. I'm probably too late with suggestions, but nevertheless: I'm honestly a fan of you always referring to them as lootboxes. It will get hilarious after it's been said so often. At least in my opinion lol. And regarding showing the contents: Maybe a counter (x amount of artifacts, x amount of seeds, etc) maybe even just visually. Definetly would appreciate about you telling us about the higlights. But also a sped up opening montage sounds awesome, maybe even combining a few of the things. Anyway thanks for the great video and the older videos i can binge the next few evenings!

I loved this so much! My favourite part was absolutely the Easter bit with the quote. I almost laughed out-loud in my shared office. Would have gotten a few confused looks at that but hey-ho, you're the funniest youtuber I swear, especially with the 'if I were a Mcdonalds item, I'd be a McGoof' I'm really looking forward to the rest of the series, this looks really interesting so far and I want to see how this goes and if you can get all the goals done by the end of the year, they look pretty hefty. The friendship one should be easy-peasy though with the Community mod The 'Alright, let me talk to ya' is such a comfort to me now, I love hearing it every time I open one of your videos
@NeonAries Жыл бұрын
If at any point I do manage to make you laugh out loud in your shared office please leave a comment letting me know because that would be such a big achievement lmao I'll be honest, I heard the "McGoofer" line from somebody else (I'm still a lot funnier than them though) I'm so happy you enjoyed this episode, I had a ton of fun making it so I'm really looking forward to getting more and more episodes up and completing the playthrough. The Part of the Community mod is so helpful, it's gonna be a struggle if I go back to not using it in the future I have some fantastic news, I definitely plan on continuing to start every video with "Alright, let me talk to ya" 😊

@@NeonAries I will absolutely let you know if you ever make me laugh out loud in my office because if my manager hears and notices, I may be fired. Worth it though (Your friend is funnier I bet if they thought of that line) Part of the Community mod is one of my favourites, I don't think I can go back to playing without it now unless its as a challenge or something Heck yeah!

Oof, that chest getting destroyed. I can't play without the Non-Destructive NPCs mod. Also I personally like seeing the lootbox items on screen. So voice over with pointing out the most exciting thing seems fine to me.
@NeonAries Жыл бұрын
It was heartbreaking realising someone destroyed my chest so I'm definitely gonna check out the Non Destructive NPCs mod, thank you for letting me know about it :) And thank you for the feedback on that! Showing every item in the chests and specifically mentioning the rare and exciting items seems like the way to go

The ability to send gifts through the mailbox is brilliant and I need this mod! It's not even at all game-breaking. NPCs send you gifts and recipes through the mail all the time. It makes total sense!
@Scott_Forsell Жыл бұрын
I wonder if it works for the Mr. Qi quest to give 50 loved gifts. That would make that one so much easier. One does miss out on the thrill of the heart pop-up bubble though, which always gives me a brain chemical boost.
@NeonAries Жыл бұрын
That's a really good question actually, I'm excited to see if using the mailbox counts towards Mr. Qi's quest. I can personally advocate for the Mail Services mod, it's made things so much easier, especially when it comes to getting Clint to upgrade any tools. And I definitely agree about the heart bubble, I immediately feel happier every time I see that pop up

I love the idea, love the video! I get where you're coming from showing or not showing the lootboxes, I think it would be a shame if you didn't showcase them because that's kinda what it's all about, isn't it? Maybe there's an in-between, showing a summary of what you got, like an infographics daily or weekly while pointing out particular highlights or disappointments. By the way, I love the season-per-video format. Please keep doing what you're doing! ❤
@NeonAries Жыл бұрын
An infographic each week is a beautiful idea, I feel like that might be the best way to showcase all of the items I get while also not taking up too much time. Thank you for the idea, this will actually help me a ton! :) And of course! I feel like one season per video is a good way to structure a series so I'm really happy to hear that you love it too!
