Alex was an instant "only one bed" for me. I can see him bored in class or training in the gym and looking a little to long at a guy stretching exposing a little ab. Maybe he daydreams about being on the bus for an away meet and it breaks down so his teammates have to stay at a hotel over night and there's not enough rooms so people have to bunk up together. Maybe he catches the farmer passing out near his house after trying to run home from some beach fishing and he contemplates bringing them inside just before Linus comes by and steals them away. My boy just wants to hold and be held through the night. Respect the fake dating though, but that feels like the next step in his awakening journey to me.

I think Clint would be either only one bed or fake dating because they're ridiculously contrived, and I think he'd enjoy that. And Elliot would totally be into hanahaki because it's full of poetry and drama. Demetrius would stumble across a hanahaki fic once and be so focused on how unscientific it was that it would totally break the immersion, then return back to his usual enemies to lovers. I think he probably likes the ones where it's not really enemies to lovers, it's more of one big miscommunication at the beginning and they think they hate each other but they don't

Jodi comes from a traditional, religious family that pressured her to marry Kent to not shame the family. Kent didn't know what to do for work to support his new family. Not all, some fanfics get published and why Dante’s inferno is one is that it is self insert. Also that he puts himself traveling with a bunch of famous people and puts in a girl he likes

Some of these tropes aren't fanfic specific, but happen in the romance genre more generally. Enemies to lovers is a very common one in both romance novels and fanfics!
