Great playthrough! Really enjoyed watching, and really enjoyed the ending where you all made it down so far in the mine. This is one of my favorite board games (as a board gamer) and the video game is one of my favorites as well (I 100% completed it). One of the things that originally turned me off when the game first released, were a few reviews saying the game was TOO random and had too much luck, especially from the Shut Up and Sit Down video review. They really ripped the game. But if you play through enough times, you'll find out that there's everything in the game built in to help you mitigate your luck and randomness. And sometimes the randomness is what helps you ultimately. Every game I've played has been very close - mostly winning. But a few losses where people I've played with said they still loved the game, even though they lost. Which I think is a sign of a great game. Have you all ever played Robinson Crusoe? That was a big inspiration for this game from the designer, Cole. Thanks again!

Would you guys consider steaming this game again? It seems like you both really like this game and it’s to bad Rob isn’t feeling the best (but still powers through it!)

@@underkri I wouldn't say never, but we have many other games that we want to stream before this one. My daughter was asking to play this over the holidays, but it didn't make it to the table. I do have fond memories of it and do want to play it again at some point. 🤓

This looks like a lot of fun. I don't get why it's only rated 7.4 on BGG. Also, gameplay starts at 1:38:15

I don't ever trust those numbers. Too easily manipulated by people who rate games they have never played. Too many cases of people rating games a 1 or a 10 out of love/hate for the designer or publisher. 7.4 is still pretty high for a this type of game on a website used by mainly hardcore gamers.

Funny thing is, i made a Stardew Valley boardgame for my girlfriend, a few months before this was announced. Mine is a competitive euro though. And it takes waaaaay too long to play on it's current rules. Guess that's why gamemakers test their games extensively and i didn't. Oh well. :)
