fantastic mix! the beginning of this (pre 32 seconds) paired with the visuals really does make it feel like it could be a game over theme for metal sonic also, i really like the detail of sonic flicking his ear like an actual animal, i've never even considered that he could.

I'll even double down: As much as I loved Tee lopes in mania, the Jazz and hip hop influence wasn't as present as i liked (It was there, but there was more samba influence than not and i feel it took over the hip hop aspect on some levels.) You brought the cool factor back to Sonic's sound concept. So much of that is key to getting Sonic's personality right. I've never been a fan of the pop rock approach in modern games. That's not in Sonic's DNA. He's more Michael Jackson than Crush 40. Yeah, I said it! :)

I don't play too many video games in my adult life, and haven't touched this franchise since I was a kid back in the mid-2000's, but the newest movie pursuaded me to come back to it and give in another look after a long time away. I'm glad I did. This series is far better than I ever gave it credit for in hindsight. I feel like Sonic is probably the face of Video Games in my eyes, especially Classic Sonic from the 1990's. They may not be my favorite games ever made, but this look, the attitude, the colors, the jazz and funk inspired beats. This is absolutely fantastic. From an entertainment perspective, I feel like great times are ahead.
