I don't know what it is about that classic Sonic model that makes it look so much better than the Generations one, but I love it. It's like the perfect translation of Sonic's CD appearance (which is my favorite iteration of Sonic)

Yeah I really don't like the Generations model. The Sonic R/Jam model captured his classic appearance better than the one in Generations.

This model is based off of Toei's interpretation of Sonic, the one that appears in the Sonic CD animated sequences. Sonic's quills in this adaptation are straight, like with Toei's design. The Generations model is an amalgamation of SEGA of Japan and SEGA of America's version. His eyes and stomach shape in the Generations model resemble the American version, and his quills and shoes resemble the Japanese version. In Generations, they wanted to strike a balance with Classic Sonic's design, as to unify all of the older fans in both regions that may have been confused when researching the marketing of the other region's interpretation of the character.
