I closed the window, pulled the curtain down, turned on the cold air conditioner, and opened this video. The rain made me remember my childhood days, when it rained all day, my sister and I were in our old house, studying or playing, waiting for my parents to return after a day of work; then we had dinner together, watched TV, and then went to sleep. There was no internet, no facebook, no smartphone ... just the sound of rain like that, with trees, with insects, slightly chilly weather and feeling of peace.

Hello I am in North Carolina. I find this video quite peaceful and relaxing. When I watch this I picture myself in a tent bundled up with a winter sleeping bag an comforter or in a cabin or bungalow warm and cozy looking out at this chilly rainy and windy nighttime weather in peace.

This reminds me of my childhood when my family and I went to southwest rocks in Australia, we were at a bay as it started storming quite suddenly. Though we had to hurry home, I could hear the crashing waves from our little cabin. I fell asleep very easily that night under my warm blankets with a lit candle beside me, and the beautiful sounds of the rain and the waves. Thumbs up.

I’ve grown up on the Mornington peninsula in Australia my entire life, and lived pretty much on the shore down here, this video gives me home vibes, and makes me feel pretty happy and at ease. The lights remind me of the lights on our towns Main Street, the ocean is rough here when there’s storms, and we’re like 20 minute drive from Gunnamatta beach, if you don’t know what that beach is look it up, it has one of the most consistently large surfs of any beach I’ve ever seen when the conditions are right, there’s a large elevated boardwalk which extends across a small section at the back of the beach and you can see out across the bay, sometimes I’ll go there to walk and just sort of de stress, I wouldn’t trade growing up here with anywhere else on earth.

I want to thank whoever created this sound, I'm going through a very difficult time where it includes anxiety, depression, panic attacks and with all of that comes a lack of sleep due to excessive thoughts and EVERY day I put this sound next to mine bed, in the repetition, I listen to it every day at night, without fail, my favourite time is when it's cold so I can crawl into the warm blankets and listen (in case I sleep more than 8 hours…..this sound make me sleep a lot) and I sleep very very fast and happy because I visualize myself in a comfortable moment with the person that I love, enjoying the fireplace and listening to the rain and it just makes me want to keep me alive for this to happen, this sound has been my salvation, thank you so much, I have no words to express me how grateful I’m 👋😍

Listing rain sound during sleep (& other relaxing music based on mood) has become my habit since lockdown. I found a few of these sounds match the actual nature. But last night I got a fever & just felt all of these tracks noisy, irritating to hear. 😐 Then I find this ❤️ so soothing and realistic. Especially the wind sound in the background. Thanks for sharing this. Again I love to read those comments. It feels like these people are close to the heart. They don't know me neither do I. Still every positive word feels like an energy capsule to deal with the tough days. Sorry for my poor English.
