The problem with character creators is lighting you spend hours making your character only to find out they don't look the same as in game as they do in the creator so you restart to try and fix it. The fact that you can't change the lighting in most creators to check if every thing is how you want is always a pain especially if the lighting in the creator is too bright or too dark.

@@joebidenshusband6593 well you basically preorder the 1st dlc ahead of time and you also get up to 5 days early access. on top of that you get a constellation themed laser rifle, spacesuit, helmet and jetpack(or at least constellation themed skins for those four things) as well as the soundtrack/artbook of starfield. So in my opinion it is worth the money mainly for the max 5 days early and the 1st expansion being pre-bought ahead of time.

It would be really neat if visiting a genetics facility on a planet you're not wanted on could potentially make it harder for the "guards" to notice you in other places where you do have a bounty for your arrest and/or head. Obviously with things like biosignatures being quite common in science fiction, and registered ships being necessary in game, I don't see this being likely, but it would be a cool detail nonetheless.

@@AndyReloads I’m watching your new full breakdown right now hahaha. 100 seems perfectly reasonable to me. My main concern is actually that I do NOT want to be able to unlock everything on one character. 100 basically let’s us upgrade 25 skills to max(less our starting three). I feel like that’s a reasonable amount to gain, probably a couple extra points earned through side quests/main quests(10 extra?). So long as you have to make CHOICES, we’re good haha

I loved skyrim but absolutely hated fallout 4, it felt like they watered down a lot of the RPG systems. I’m so happy they are going back to their roots, deep character customization/silent protagonist, skills that actually matter outside combat, etc etc. I’m really liking how you level up skills with challenges instead of everything revolving around skill points. This system is gonna be amazing :D my first character is gonna be a Boba Fett/Yachta from predator style character. Hunting the most dangerous animals across the galaxy and selling the meet and collecting the pelts and armor. Also hunting the most dangerous criminals and decorating my ship with their helmets. The role playing is gonna be so cool :)

But the black-bearded character portrait makes me reach for the ESC game to go to the video options, because I instinctively think I have set the graphics at low quality and at 640x480 resolution.

I was just thinking: wouldn't it be cool if the Fallout 3/4 laser rifle was in Starfield? It could be a fun hidden weapon, maybe with a note saying it's an "ancient prototype" , or was found near a "spacial anomaly". If not, I'm sure modders will put it in.

I'm interested in Alien DNA and Wanted for some interesting roleplay ideas there, the stats seem to line up nicely if you want to be an absoute Unit, combined with a hardy suit, but hunted at every turn, and cant heal as effective. Roleplay added you'd want to avoid getting cornered or exposed. So playing "off grid" makes a challenge. I'm imagining a guy who looks like Barrett from FF7, soldier experiment that someone wants you dead. Inspired by the X Files episode with the sleep experiment soldiers. You're hiding out on a mining moon... Introvert the 3rd for an interesting character flaw.

I am creating a Ronin from Neon with history with Ryujin Industries which has Japanese vibes. This explains why I will be so efficient at killing people. Also every other constellation member has different backgrounds but no one is from Neon so I will fill that gap. I think I will become more honorable over time however how loyal I am to Ryujin Industries is yet to be seen.

The NPC graphics positively SUCK. Whoever was in charge of that part of the game needs to be fired. All adults the same height is the biggest immersion breaker. Heights should be randomized within a natural gender specific range each playthrough. That would not be that difficult, given the vast improvement to the game that would provide. scrawley penciled beard lines. perfect teeth even among the old. disjointed necks. robot-like arm movements. symmetrical faces. dead eyes. before they were way too glassy and watery, now they are dead. hair that is so thick at the hairline it looks like a bad wig. faces overall look too soft and fat. Also, a lost opportunity to incorporate a dynamic economy. This to me functions so similarly to both Skyrim and Fallout 4 that it is just a new skin on an old, a very old game. Pickpocketing? Really? They call it Bethesda. ..

I expected a game with many familiar features which would also go beyond what Bethesda has done in the past. ..

@@MrDavePed Pickpocketing is going to be a part of an immersive sim RPG lol. What is your issue with it? As for the economy...do you have EA? Everything we've heard so far points to there being a good system for the economy. As for the characters? That's on you man. Nobody expects any game from Bethesda on the Gamebryo/Creation engine to feature good lip sync and facial animations. They've been the same since Morrowind and it's just a part of BGS games. It's never going to change because that's how they develop games.

They could have randomized the natural height range according to gender for each playthrough. Think about how much better that would have made the game. YES it would have been worth it. The beards facial hair is penciled in way too thick for each strand. Terrible The eyes were way too glassy/watery a few months back so they changed them. Now they are empty, expressionless, dead. The neck and arm movements are very unhinged and robotic. The faces are completely symmetrical. That is not natural and although most won't be aware of it they will on some level notice something isn't right. They went through a lot of trouble to make people look old and haggard but didn't bother to change the teeth at all. The hair is so very thick at the hairline it looks like a bad wig. Didn't you notice any of this? The NPC graphics should be a lot better in 2023 because they CAN be a lot better in 2023. My issue with pickpocketing is it is so cliché and out of place in a world where half the people are wearing space suits and the other half pay for everything with a retinal scan. It is a throwback to Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist and has NO PLACE is a space RPG. It is plainly and utterly stupid. ..

@@MrDavePed They're not different heights due to fitting of clothing, rigging, etc. Also, like I said before, Creation engine is not ever going to look cutting edge. It's just not made for that and the tech isn't there. They'd have to swap engines and at this point they have too much invested in it. It would be another 12 years before we saw another game by Bethesda. Character models are always going to look that way because of how the engine renders that stuff. All the mods you see for hair and bodies in Fallout and TES are imported from Blender/Unreal for that reason. Preset faces are scanned in so idk. Maybe the people are just very symmetrical. As for everything else? Just preference I guess. I'm sure modders will work on things soon after launch and invent something similar to KNVSE. Enjoy it for what it is.
