It would be nice if the worlds got randomly populated with outposts with enemies that are purpose-built by other players rather than randomized.

The game mechanics are great. It would have been an ideal game, despite the loading screens, if the universe and its lore were not so uninspiring and lacking in grandeur. They should have taken an established universe to make this game, like they did with Fallout.

I destroyed most of their defenses before I got there. Within 2 minutes there was like one turret and three mercenaries left over on the outside. It was a sneak attack to get more XP not meant as a stealth run. I'm equipped with a decent spacesuit, helmet, and have a good amount of resistance in combat. So, yes it's normal to be able to take damage. I enjoy using all the available tools to destroy the enemy. I'm also playing on extreme settings banking my character an additional 75% in XP.
