I didn't even know there was a NG+ in my first 100 hours (I think I had 200+ hours just in early release). My first character quickly wandered away from the main storyline as I chased side adventures, became a Freestar Ranger, explored ship building then outpost building all the while working on tuning my character (skills) to my play style. As I have listened and read about those who ventured early into NG+, I'm glad I chose to wander around in the game in my first playthrough. We only get to experience all those first encounters, be they side missions, outpost building, ship building, etc. once where it is fresh and filled with the unknown. Doing the Mantis ship quest with no clue what the rewards were or how it would end, finding the notes explaining the history of the Mantis in the bedroom, were memorable to me. I very well may stop my first char from completing the game and stepping into NG+. I look forward to creating another save where my focus is to advance through the story into NG+ and beyond, but I'm glad I have my first playthrough where I allowed myself to become lost in the game with no purpose or agenda.

the best u did, absolutely. i enjoyed myself more by starting a new character with different traits and going on a diferent build than starting ng+ grind for powers

I am doing NG+10, then I will do one Faction with each Universe after! You are right, I book through the new universes because I don't care about anyone in them! I will care after I settle down from farming the Artifacts & becoming a GOD!

If you do the quests, and side quests, you will notice more changes in the new universes. None of them are 'game changing', but there are some, from different outfits, to different dialogs, to even different characters swapping roles.

I have not seen any of that so far... hmmm

I actually think it’s worth doing NG+ earlier rather than later so the new Starborn gear feels like an upgrade. My character is a power hungry pirate chasing eldritch power so after wrapping-up some business in the home universe it made sense for him to just go and keep going.

I agree with you. I have played multiple play throughs and when I got to game plus I was shocked to see that there really is not as many changes as I thought there would be. I think they missed an opportunity to have a good end game. I have one character that I'm just going to rush through to get to # 10 and ship 6. I guess so I can say I did it. Now don't get me wrong I really like the game,,, I can't put it down and like you I have 300+ hours in it. I just think they missed a big opportunity. I mean like the relationships for example,,,,, I think the should have somehow incorporated a feeling if you will that as you go through the "Unity" that your relationship will in time transend the " Unity" and at so point your mate will follow you through the "Unity". I mean that would give you a reason to go through the effort to have a relationship. That's just one way they could make going through "Unity" multiple times worth it. To me there is no end to what they can do with this.

I have 2 characters one who has got to NG+11 and is now doing all the quests on very hard mode and one who is not going to do NG+ and is doing every sidequest I can find, exploring building ships and outposts... NG+ on very hard mode can be brutal but rewarding. A normal playthrough is a chill experience

dude oh my god! how much time do you have on your hands? the game's been out for how long by now, 3 months? 11 NGs sound insane
@MarkJThompson Жыл бұрын
@@orkunvemosi NG+ only takes an hour or 2 if you just do the temples and grab the remaining artefacts... i Got to 11 and played through everything on Very hard

My first playthrough I reached NG+1, then it started really bugging out so I had to shelve it. I went ahead and revealed myself to the other Constellation members, and that was an interesting experience. My 2nd playthrough I've dawdled a whole heck of a lot before getting to the artifact hunt, so we'll see how that plays out. Still not sure whether that character will step through Unity, from a RP perspective. I feel like Claira (Clara is a forbidden spelling, oddly.) would stay and continue to make her birth universe a better place, after all. I DO want to see the other variant universes, though.

I finished the main story, but I came back to my universe because I want to complete some faction quests. Unfortunately, two quests are bugged for me: "Listen to Mei Divine's introduction (On The Run)" and "Speak with Natan (Runaway) ". Maybe I'll create a second character just to become a starborn and keep my first save to exploring/building things in the current universe.

For the Red Mile, I think you need to stand near the door of where the run starts for her to start talking. But, yeah.. it could very well be bugged too.. lol.

Gotta be careful with the starborn ship, it can sometimes glitch while landing . It’s been reported many times

I'm lv79 today on my 7th playtrough. Each I've used a different start character and while i only once did not follow the main quest but took the truly opposite, but for once now I always stop just before the NG+ kicks in as i want to do every starting character and every trait 1st. I see no reason to rush especially as doing the 10x thing right now would take away from the joy of spending every day 12 or 18 hrs immersed (the 12 days are 4x a week in BG3). And would be cool to have my companion with my skillset. Hmmm I see some use the 10x as z tital speedrun but I'm thinking given my saved playthroughs, are primed then i plan to follow their experienced journey but with clear variance kn the choises. Thus I'm lookkng forward to NG+. I guess we xzn create the value and odds are the patches and DLS modx will have a say too

I’ve gone through new game plus on two different characters for a total of 12 times and honestly, it could be a bit better. I’ve seen a few changes outside of the lodge that gave me a bit of a smirk but nothing to write home about

I'm still on my first play through, taking my time and doing side quests, base base building (is it possible to build something correct ?) and advancing slowly (I'm swiss) the main quest. And Andreja is smocking some big snake.

Hi Beebs- I'm casual and have been taking my time without one completed playthrough yet. I've already started to dwindle my play. Perhaps I'm just getting old for gaming. :)

NEVER! 😂 But yeah, there is no need to rush through a game, and a game like Starfield can be played on a very slow pace, especially because you can easily get distracted by other stuff.

I really wanted to like Starfield but it was so boring, and the game felt on rails, so many missions have the same outcome no matter what you choose, (I reloaded and tried this) NPC and secuity guards dont care if you fire a gun in Town, point a gun in their face or shoot inches above them but freak out if you steal a coffee cup...lmao but Starfield did get me into a space exploration game and that led me to No Man Sky (never played that game before 2023) and well I think im 600ish hours into that game! Dont get me wrong Starfield has some cool aspects. I like the Gun battles in the game and there is a good variety of guns but little to no love was given to melee and stealth is broken like most bethesda games... still Starfield gunfights are better then gunfights in NMS. If Starfield had more alien life to fight it would have been enough to keep me playing...anyway buildung in NMS feels better for creative souls I think you can build way more in NMS and comparing the two NMS is hands down a better space exploration game. Its crazy that the small team at Hello Games came up with smoother travel and seemless loading and run circles arround what a AAA game studio with billions and a large team could not do. If you want an on rails Space loading sim with great gunfights Starfield... if you want a true Space Exploration Game check out No Man's Sky. You wont reget it!

I have another save with a another character, I will go back to it instead of new game plus, I don't use the powers, don't like the ship and the armor settings , I prefer a mechanized mantis I play in Very hard. I will save sarah and kill andreja, I will add her as my companion to let her die instead of sarah or sam. I hate andreja religious conversations, she's to cold for me. She has no usefull skills for my crew ship so she's expandble. I gonna do my last 7 achievments and use console commands and mods to level, and change weights, and not lose time on a second playtrough.

I can't imagine playing Starfield for over 300 hours. After around 50 hours I was bored and disappointed with the game and it's systems which were seriously underutilized. Outpost building was pedantic and shipbuilding, while fun and intriguing, had no payoff in game. I didn't bother much with story because after watching your first playthrough it seemed completely lackluster. I decided to skip the main story and just play as a pirate with the Crimson Fleet side quest. The whole quest line was just a serious of fetch quests with robotic NPCs and flat dialogue.
@martymcyourflysdown6872 Жыл бұрын
Ryujin questline was interesting, UC Vanguard questline was awesome, Crimson Fleet questline was good, Constellation questline was meh. Aside from that I’ve mostly enjoyed the side missions such as the unlucky boots in the Well lol

I actually prefer the look of the armour at level four and eight, so might stop at eight and do all missions again then, I'm at 4 now so almost there lol

Yeah... I wish there was an option to choose your armor... I am not a big fan of the final one.. The 4th one looks so badass..
