I don't mind some paid mods, if it is to help the mod creators, my anger lies that Bathesda games also made a single quest a paid mod. They got the money from the game, why do they need more money from just one quest.

For me, mods need to be mostly free, this makes the community work for the love of the game, see Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Fallout 4, even Minecraft are games with huge communities and in general free mods but ok if some modders they want to charge, BUT Bethesda itself makes mods and charges?? No, that is not and should not be her role, she needs to fix the game, bugs, implement new things, missions, DLCs, that's it.

As a Modder I'll likely be doing both Free and paid mods. With Free ones being the more important and paid with bells and whistles. But id be charging less than what I'm seeing other people charging more along the lines of a dollar donation.

I am a huge Starfield fan. I have no issues with paid mods. I am not happy with the individual missions being paid. I did get 'The Vulture', the mission is OK. I think Bethesda should release a few more free Tracker Alliance missions and that they should have never charged for any mods. This is an unforced error. Now IF Bethesda allowed their employees to add mods as paid individually (with the same rules as other modders) then I would be OK with that.

What I know is they added the ranger faction, the paid part might be weird and it might be a small thing but, little things like that absolutely add replayability, RP and more things to do, that is a MASSIVE win and should be more of that

I am all for the annual DLC release time period! I hope Shattered Space is released in September on its one-year anniversary! Creation Club has been around for Skyrim & Fallout 4 for a very long time! I have no problem with them because they support the modders that created them! We had to buy the Skyrim/Fallout 4 DLC's, so they won't change Starfields DLCs!

@@Just-Ignore-It_88 I don't know if you know but there are mods in Skyrim that use CC so if you try to run these mods without this content the game will simply crash.

If Bethesda goes down this route with starfield it's going to die starfield already has low replayability and it's just playing out boring to be honest with you it's not challenging enough I don't feel as if it's right for them to put the future of a game that they paid tens of millions of dollars to create in the hands of modders to try to make it better That's a cop out if they wanted to do this they should have done this from the start of the game release I'm tired of these studios releasing half finished games this game doesn't feel finished it doesn't some of these worlds are completely empty nothing there no loot no creatures just a dead planet we have a thousand planets fallout 4 has one map with a couple expansions and there's more to do on there than it is on starfield

People should definitely start focusing on the actual FREE mods that are coming out now since the creation kit is here. Im kinda sick of hearing about the Vulture and Plushies lol. It’s sad the Creation Club is steering people out of playing Starfield when the freakin Creation Kit is already pumping out free mods as we speak. Everyone talks about wanting to support modders… here’s everyone’s chance to give them the inspiration to create some great mods. Just goes to show how just a few bad things about a Starfield update can prevent you from seeing the good stuff they have- like free mods… the one alternative to paid mods 👍

I'm confused on the frustration towards paid mods. What happened to everyone wanting to support the modders? Then when it happens ppl no longer like the idea. What am I missing? Is it the price? Also Paid mods (made by Bethesda) don't disable achievements so the price doesn't seem like an issue. You buy or you don't. There are games that have way more microtransactions. They don't seem to be attacked like this. My only issue was with new Mods disabling all NPCs audio. (Which I am sure will be fixed soon) and I rly appreciate the Mod game storage increase.

i am pretty certain that if they had just offered the trackers alliance stuff entirely free, and left all the other paid mods as-is, they wouldnt have gotten nearly the negative reception they did. I am okay with trying to put money in the pockets of modders who work very hard to develop these mods with no expectations, but to offer half of a storyline for free and then expect people to be happy that the other half of it was behind a paywall was a *very* poor decision on bethesdas part. Im surprised they didn't see it coming, or maybe they did and microsoft demanded they do it anyhow, who knows.

People need to understand that if they don't pay for content, Bethesda will stop making updates. I believe it's more the value of the content that's in question. The free Tracker's Alliance first quest was much better than the paid-for Vulture quest. The Vulture quest should have been free or at the most, 100 credits. It was just a generic quest with nothing new. Bethesda really felt we should be paying 700 credits to get the weapon and the outfit. Not worth it.

It did add a new weapon so there is that. Also like 3 new outfits no one will actually wear tbh. The weapon quite frankly is the strongest sniper in the game now.

Nothing should have a price tag on it right now lmao. They still have a ton of work to do for this game to be flushed out. After they get that stabilized then I can see extra add ons for creation 💰.

Starfield is a great game and has great potential, but it gets kind of boring that almost every mission on most of the boards is "go here and kill some person, of course most all of the places you go are the same. There is some monster hunting but they could do that even better with maybe more big monsters. Maybe they could take a lead from Cyberpunk 2077, with different types of missions. Maybe go here and steal this ship, or more treasure hunting. Overall i still love the game.

Many Mods are not cheats or advantages like adding mission boards or homes to outposts, skins for character armor & weapons shouldn’t suspending achievements.

Easy solution to the Creation Club issue here. I would not mind supporting independent modders, providing longevity to games I already enjoy. However I will not pay for a single mission "mod" put out by the actual developer when I have already paid them for the full price of the game. If anything, I don't think anything made by Bethesda specifically should be put in the creation club at all. If Bethesda wants to add something to their game, they have the ability to patch it in with any updates, and if they feel they can charge for it, then add it as a DLC addon. I feel Bethesda putting their own addons through Creation Club feels dishonest, whether that is their intention or not. Mods are community-driven; not DLC's. So if Creation Club is what it advertises, a tool to help support the modding community that helps these games get a longer life-span, don't dilute it with Bethesda produced content. Should that mission have been put on a market place as a miniscule addon, I doubt that this specific issue would have stoked the fire that is the controversy surrounding the Creation Club in the first place.

I think the trackers alliance could have just been added in the shattered space dlc as a new faction and keep the creation club for independent modders who are trying to make some money off their creations. And the free mods of course. I’m using some of those now and they are great.

They should of filled up some those planets with fun filled up stuff to do. Its a space game. Dead freighters that lead to alien planets, scary and fun stuff. Robots and so much more. Space may be empty but a game shouldn’t.

Fallout had such potential what attracted me to the game was the space exploration aspect but it's more so jump from world to world and there is nothing in between You can't supercruise or anything this was the perfect opportunity for Bethesda to combine fallout and elite dangerous The ship operation is not detailed enough The customization is like luster I would like to go more in depth in the ship building what about cooling feel scooping and etc basically to me this is a space version of fallout it's not an original idea You laying on these big ass empty planets with nothing to do going from location to location literally takes minutes I would like for them to add carriers more detailed ship battles harder to fight enemies why not implement a system that allows a staggered leveling system kind of like what they have with some planets being a level 5 level 20 level 50 but the leveling system levels up as you level up for example if the player is level 75 then the hardest planet is going to be level 300 or something I mean the game gets boring after you beat it the first time the second time is just overkill building things like outposts and things like that is kind of pointless because it all goes away after you beat the game this is as good as an example of what not to do with the game they put out a game that was technically unfinished because in a world of AI I mean come on they could not have written a script that randomly creates planets with cities outposts villages there's about 10 different variations of planets on this game That's it The enemies are the same The creatures are the same it just gets boring

I love the game but it still crashes a lot they need to fix this game Xbox S crashes and won't let me use mods on most of my characters I tried everything I can't use star wars mods on my 124 character I put hundreds of hours in that character and had to start a new game.

@@DNyeI’m all for paying modders for quality work. The problem is that modding (for most people) is a hobby and not job. You wouldn’t expect to be paid for your hobby. Another issue is that most of the paid mods rn are garbage nothingness you can throw together in less than half an hour and charge 1-5 bucks for. No thanks.

I understand that the modders need to make money but I mean let's just be realistic we do this because we love the games not to make a living from it That's just being greedy in my opinion if matters want to get paid then I don't know what to tell them it's like fixing up a classic car you're never going to get out what you put into it it's a labor of love
