I'm likely slow here, but I just realized that with the lights on certain parts, when you come upon a ship in the darkness like that. You would think someone would have put a headlamp or lights on the vessel.

Agreed. Sometimes when I'm coming up on a ship, I can barely see it. They should have a flood light for your ship like they do on the vehicles.
