That’s not true I have seen other KZbinrs show locations of ship bases and I have found them. Another thing you can do is set up an outpost if applicable close to the base.

Surface maps are different for every player's game. So the spot you land means nothing to anyone else. Even for you, it changes every time you land unless you lock it in with planting a beacon nearby or by "exploring" a facility so that it shows an icon on the surface afterwards from orbit. However the "exploring" thing doesn't always seem consistent,...sometime it persists, sometimes not. But If I keep landing in random places that facility should eventually appear and work the same way even if the location is different than yours. I see other comments kind of said the same thing.

Yeah I was unaware that everyone's maps were different. I figured the resources would match different locations. That makes it hard to share discoveries in this game. That moon however is still a solid moon for some solid ship spawns though.

The pronunciation is hi-guns, and these ships spawn in random locations once you're above a certain level, my favourite is Huygens and Shoza

The fact that Starfield has to play into the "everyone's in a different universe" angle and make everything random is a gift and a curse because this would have been an excellent non-glitch money grind. The only absolute in getting ships to sell is Serpentis, but they're only Va'ruun ships that you have to best in battle, not the insane Ecliptic ones that you're literally car-jacking from the parking lot. LOL.

Yeah I didn't realize until after I posted the video that even the resources in comparison to the POIs were random. Makes it hard to share discovery in this game. I have encountered Ecliptic ships in Serpentis but its far and few.

You can't take bounty hunter ships that have landed on planets but you can in space when they attack you even with the wanted perk active. Leave one ship and disable the engine board it clear and take it like you would any other ship. As long as you have space in your ship fleet and you can pilot the ship class you are good to go.

That is a Cornered Modified Advanced Va'Runn Inflictor Rare Particle Beam Rifle. 90 Phys 292 Engy. With a Long Barrel, Recon Scope, and Spread Nozzle. I dont remember but may have had it on easy at the time. I jump around difficulties depending on the system I'm in and ships I'm trying to steal.

if you use your starborn power "Void Form" to sneak on to the ship just after the bad guys leave, don't kill them yet! you'll get on before it takes off. This same thing works with any ship landing site, once you kill the remaining crew, make it your home ship, then exit the ship and kill all the remaing bad guys on the landing pad before you leave. If you leave them, they will attack other ships when they land and you can't get on the future ships when you/ return.

Just so you know if you find a ship and it’s empty and won’t let you fly it wait in the jumper chair and enemies spawn kill them then you can take the ship that’s how I got my claymore 3 at a low level

So it turn out it wouldnt have mattered. I was unaware at the time of making this video that everyones Point of interest randomly generate. So the location I found that base would be different for another person. The good news is that moon has been a gold mine for some solid Class C ships to steal!

Apologies I tried to hover over the moon for a while to get people a better idea of the location, should have zoomed in, however I did find out everyone's planets are different because of the procedurally generated content in this game after I made the video so it wouldn't have mattered anyways. Its still a solid moon to find some high level ships though!

I have the problem of when I take any ecliptic ship it tells me I'm not authorized to to pilot it. I think it might be because I have the "wanted" trait and they are the bounty hunters tracking me.

They are the bounty hunters looking for you. Happens to me a lot. Ihave max pilot skill. The ship is treated like a quest ship and says "you don't have access to pilot this ship" or something like that. Only downside to the wanted trait.

the way to tell if you can take the ship or not is by the enemies bames. if they say ecliptic you can take it, if they say bounty hunter then you cannot

You have to get rid of the "Wanted" perk. If you have it you can't take any bounty hunter ships and a great mamt Ecliptic ships.

At level 23 I am seeing no ships on Hyugens vii and the moon's features are different. I did get a Merc Stilleto because my character has the Wanted perk, but the game said I could not fly it even with rank 4 piloting.

Yeah I thought the scanned resources would align with POIs but was wrong about that one. Weird ships aren't landing though. That moon has been pretty solid for ships spawns in general in my game.

if its sitting at a location go out 250 m place down beacon to warp back to go to another planet and come back it could reset the ship to be a normal ship and not registerd as a merc ship

There is a problem with this post and MANY like it. Landed ships no longer open up on planets (xBox at least) so trying to steal a landed ship is a big WASTE of time! I have 2 landed ships, one at this location and one a 2 minute run from here - BOTH - locked up tight!

I believe this is a glitch with your game unfortunately as I just stole a UC Autobahn last night while recording a new video. It has been an issue for the last 5 months with random peoples games. Not exactly sure what is causing it.

Yeah I realized later that not all locations are the same per save. However you can still use this strategy with other POIs I have found. Also that moon in general is a solid spot to take high level ships.

Well, there goes my theory of ships never landing within 500 units of the player. Also did not know you could just make it your home ship. I take off in the stolen ship and then I'm at the mercy of its stats, sometimes being unable to jump as far as I'd like. Ecliptic Claymore is my favorite ship in the game, but I'll still upgrade it since I have Piloting 4 and Ship Design 4, so I can get those top parts. And the higher end Cabot bridge if the Claymore III doesn't include it (it does have a Cabot bridge, I just don't know what level). Also you want that Slayton 6830 engine, but you need to do the main quest a certain way to get it. Otherwise you can't get access to the best engine in the game for any amount of credits, and that's a shame.

I thought the same thing until I landed at this location. Other moons if I landed near a POI nothing would ever spawn. Yeah making it your home ship and then fast traveling to your ship is even though its kinda glitchy is the way to go so you dont get stranded with a bad Grav Drive in the stolen ship. I just picked up a Claymore III looking to do some interior modifications. Also probably going to change up the weapons. I had no idea how rare the Slayton 6830 engine was. Thats a shame you cant buy it.

You might need to upgrade your piloting skill if its a Class C ship.

Land anywhere on Luna. High Level Ships always coming. If you leave your ship and nothing or trash is coming, go to the last savepoint and try again.

What I do as soon as I get to the ship location is run or jet pack right in the loading dock & bypass all the ground troops don't engage them. Then enter the ship & clear it out. When everyone is dead on the ship I sit in the captains / pilots seat. Which starts the takeoff screen, I the do a quick save. When that is done then I hit exit and start clearing out the ground troops around the ship outside. As I want the loot. After that is done, I then board the ship & fly back to orbit. Then when in orbit of the same planet I save the game again & pick another landing spot & use the same ship I just stole to steal another I will do this same process 3 times before reseting & fly to another planet. Also you don't need to swap ships to keep it. Just fly away, you're home ship will stay in your inventory.

Also when I'm building a custom ship I'll sell these ships I stole to gain back my credits I spent building my ship plus this would be the time when I sell a higher value ship. I do use the glitch to sell the ship unregistered so I get full value. A controller works best for this process.

It's a solid strategy! Only reason I like to switch back to my other ship is because it has a better grav drive and sometimes the ships I stole even a Mark 2 is not enough to get me back too Alpha Centauri.

This video was recorded on an Xbox Series X 4K 30FPS. I also have a desktop Gaming PC and ROG Ally for on the go. I switch between them using Gamepass but mostly I like to just max on my couch and play on the Series X even though the FPS is lower I do think it looks really good!

No it doesn't matter what difficulty. I was on Normal. If the area is too high of a level you could even lower to Very Easy with no consequences.

How do you spawn using the scanner?

If you have discovered a location prior you can pull up your scanner, hover over the POI symbol and then fast travel to it. Saves the hassle of running all over the planet. Same can be done with your ship if you can see it in the distance.

Because I wanted to leave in the ship I showed up in just in case the ship I stole didn't have a powerful enough grav drive reach to get me home. Its not that many steps compared to what you just described. Sit in pilot seat, set home ship, fast travel back to ship we landed with, set as home ship.

Be warned. If you are only about level 30 to 40, all you are going to do here is find an unregistered useless A class crimson fleet ghost ship. It's just not worth the time or the effort and that is true of so many vids about getting class C ships. If you are not around level 76 it isn't going to happen.

I was mid level 40 when I made this video. No issues finding solid Class C ships here as you can see. I did confirm that once you are Level 50 Mark III style ships will start spawning especially in orbit. Finally got a Claymore III once I hit Level 51.

I gave up trying to steal a Claymore. I built my own Claymore. Just look at the ship design and follow it. Instead of that radiator in the middle, put an extra Hab there.

You have to be clear out the ship and sitting in the pilot seat to clear out the location. Also your current level may have to do with what ships spawn.

BS....stop at Serpentis 2B land and you can get many Class C ships. Then go to Huygens. I hijacked 4 to 5 class C ships. There are no crew on board, just fly away.

I wasted far too much time trying to like it, and now having concluded it’s a deeply flawed, very average (at best) game, I’m able to just step back and not waste time on watching videos like this when the pop up on my stream. Bethesda are going to shortly learn no, we won’t pay for Starfield mods, and no we won’t pay for DLC for this boring mess of a game with its tedious writing and bad design.

I see ships land all the time...really nice ones too. It's just that their landing bay rarely opens. And those that do, are empty. 🫤

@@circuitscore Yep, I also get "You are not authorized to pilot this ship" from the pilot seat (before you ask, yes, I can pilot Class C ships) and "Inaccessible" messages from the landing bay door all the time. Extremely frustrating and takes away a large portion of enjoyment from the game.

@@MrJohnLamoureux Do you have the bounty hunted Wanted trait? Ive heard of people not being able to access bounty hunter ships.

@@circuitscore Nope, I do not have that trait. And it's all kind of ships...UC, Ecliptic, Freestar...doesn't matter the faction or model. I can access Starborn ships tho.

@@MrJohnLamoureux Are you in NG+ at all? cause your not really supposed to be able to board landed starborn ships until then, Although there is a way if you are fast enough when they land to get there before they get out but its not advisable because it will glitch out other ships that land and make them inaccessible, that may be the issue and might be worth a search but in that case it should be fixed going to NG+
