Starfighter Ascension: 85000 Score on Fleet Destruction - Ace Combat 7

This mission is so much fun. I'll get to score running others missions, but I just couldn't help but do this. The 100k PLSL run was me at my best - but this was so, so much more fun.
If the Su-57 is undoubtedly the best here, the Starfighter is by no means the worse, courtesy of its special weapon. Guided rockets are a very niche weapon, inferior to all other air-to-ground weapons in almost all situations... but not here. They excel at putting massive damage on a single target, and the rocket barrage easily overwhelms CIWS, making them excellent for ship and platform busting. Unleash them on the enemy fleet, crank up the engine, and prepare for possibly the most fun way to play AC7.
Joke plane, like hell. I goddamn love the Starfighter.

@@TugaAvenger I've been born that way. After I died on AC2 for the first time, everything became irrelevant. Nothing provided joy or comfort. Because, I died. By using analog sticks during Greased Lightning. No seriously. I never liked dying in games. Dislike the thought of it more than a thought of actually dying. Always played super, super safe. Crawled whole MoH and MoH Underground on PS1. Any RTS? Heavy fucking turtling. Losing a skirmish game of Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds was a nightmare I had for every night for over a week. Got over it by now, but damn did it take years. :D

The F-104 is an interceptor. Just because the Germans were fucking stupid and decided to use it in the ground attack role doesn't automatically make it a bad plane.

@@meatbag9317 They lost all their planes from accidents. I don´t think the reputation has anything to do with it´s combat role. It was just a plane with a lot of flaws that was unfit to serve at anything but high altitudes.

@@wulferikgebhardt5312 Actually, the reputation of the F104 HAS to do with its combat role... or better, with the role assigned to -G version: when used in its original role (really QUICK interception), the accidents ratio was quite low. At the opposite, most accidents happened when the plane was used in A2G role, at low-altitude.

Gufo_Tave It was also being used by a nation that was not at all prepared for a match 2 capable aircraft, given that the most advanced aircraft they had at this point was the CL-13: a fine plane, but going from a subsonic plane with rather docile takeoff and landing to a brute that basically lands faster than you’d fight in a plane only a few years ago... it was not a recipe for success. The Germans chose the wrong fighter for a recuperating Air Force, and paid for it

This is one of my favorite planes to use because it really gives skilled players a challenge. Sure top tier planes like F-22A or the SU-57 are far superior to the F-104C, but anyone who can use a lower tier plane to get an S rank on all mission is truly a master of the skies.

That was amazing. I haven't played AC7 for a month or so, but I know my best on Hard is 53K for this mission, that too with a SU35, and not a measly F104. That 99% damage was also surreal.
