StarGate Atlantis Ancient Combat Jumper Exterior

Here's the exterior of the combat jumper with the drone pods, pulse cannon turret, main cabin and engines deployed. It also shows the weapons firing.

I think I'd consider this more of a "jumbo jumper" (actually I think a *super* jumbo jumper) than a combat jumper, just because the armament per square meter seems the same or less than a regular jumper. I would imagine a combat jumper being no more than twice the length of the original with at least double the drone launchers and probably with relatively strong shields for it's size, you would also likely have very minimal cargo and seating space. Original jumpers are very multi purpose, and what you show here is what I would imagine you would get if you wanted *more* multi purpose, in a longer platform for a bigger team

The Air Force would call it a combat jumper. The Ancients would call it an Enhanced Gate ship or Extended Mission Gate Ship. It can handle 48 fully kitted soldiers standing and sitting and crewed with 7 more.

i always found it wired that almost all of the ships in sg are battle cruisers which are like battle ships so seeing a small design is cool my little critique of the design make it a little shorter about 9 or 10 meters as it could then fit in the same bays as the standard puddle jumper it also would mostlikly be used for short missions to back up some troops or to give bases an anti fighter gunship

ok you are obviously under no obligations on this but hear me out. perhaps you would call it a "strike jumper" but take a puddle jumper with some added length like this one, except instead of it being like a long train car, the segmented rear section splits in three and hinges forward toward the nose, revealing the weapon emplacements. additionally, the slanted nose twists around as required to give the pilot vision in the entire 3d forward hemisphere either way you did some cool work with your various designs, glad to see someone else loved the efficient but handsome (ie, elegant) puddle jumper from this show

This ship is for extended missions. The expanded cabin can sleep 16 at the same time. Once on site this ship makes a great base of operation.

Looks like an impressive, but slightly bus-like version of the Puddle Jumper. The only thing I'd critique was the constant blasts of the weapons turret, only because it looked like a waste of ammo. Would have been nice to see the actual flight dynamics, but an interesting design

In the rare occasion that they are available, the “Advanced Gate Ship” (aka Combat Jumper named by SGC personnel) power systems can be supplemented with a ZPM. It can be used on extended mission through the StarGate to other seeded galaxies and will need the power to dial the gate to return. The constant beam would only be used with a ZPM. The combat jumper has a hyper-space engine with a range of about 100k lightyears that can be extended by a ZPM.

Well technically Stargate command could make improvise version of puddle jumpers by using gao'uld technology by using tel'tak ship and breaking it down to it's metal and technology parts , and use the tel'tak ship Hull pieces to assemble a jumper together it has Trinium metal haul, naquadah Core, hyperdrive, cloaking device, shields , sublight engines, idk if you can interface alantean drone weapons to it etc , you can add staff weapons to it or chain guns with multiple stinger missiles with naquadah enhanced explosives to not only take out fighters but damage ships and land targets

That is exactly, what Atlantis expedition (and human forces) need. Only add some basic hyperdrive. Even the crew od Destiny would have much les troubles on the scouted worlds with gates, if they have a ship capable to pass through the gate.

BTW this kind of human puddlejumper could be technologicaly stripped down (meant to leave only sublight engines and basic life support) and can be distributed/sold to lower-tech allies in Pegasus (Genii) or sold for their technology (as a living space) to travelers in Pegasus - or to Hebridians, Tokra and Free Jaffa in Milky way. I had an idea on human "drone weapon" inspired by Ancient drone weapon and drones from SGU - possible armament for the jumper: Similary to Ancient drones, when inactive, stored inside the "mothership". But it storage area serves for re-fuel, re-armament and repair too. It takes-off (and lands) from 2 "barrels" out (or into) the ship, or at the jumper alternatively a "bombbay" wery similar to the way YOUR VERSION OF SUPERIOR PUDDLEJUMPER have its engines stored for passing the gate. Apperance and capabilites - size and shape of the tauri drone, is similar to single flight engine of 302 fighter, it is armed with railgun - or lately with some other kind of energybased "machinegun" and two naquadah enritched warheaded amraam rockets. Another equipment - shields optimized for targets defense - i.e. shield and armor penetration before self-destruct. Explosion of the drone comparable to naq-enritched-nuke for planet cracking. Tactical advantages: - adds extremely ranged engagement (similar to carriers) to the abilities of the craft. - adds extreme precision for targeting subsystems on target, with scalable strenght of attacks, to prevent targets destruction. Wery handy for enemy starship capturing. - in comparison to ancient drones - tauri version does not need to be kamikaze-wasted against fighters and smaller ships, because it is armed. (lightly in comparison to F-302, but enough, to dispose or heavily damage anything bellow Hatak with asgard-tech upgraded shields of Anubis in Milky way and including wraith cruiser in Pegasus, witouth sacrificing itself in kamikaze runs) - When sublight engine pod failure or destruction, the drones can DRAG/push its mothership. That capability is scalable - with enough drones, you can drag even capital ships either tauri ships, or captured ones. Strategic advantages: - can be used for rearming runs or supply transports from planet to ship and between ships when no teleport aviable or possible at the moment. Can be used even for probing and attack runs (or complete planet defence) through the gate with no (or severly limited) danger to personell. That, and bigger size to ancient drones allows to upscale the Tauri drones reactor to the point, its self-destruct is stronger, than single ancient drones explosion. - Drones capable to take down ships are usually quite effective material-wise. Simply, it is much more resorce costly and longer to build a spaceship, than one or several drones capable to destroy it. Its crew lives, training and invaluable capabilities loss not counting. - Tauri drones capability for through-the-gate-attacks can be used more effectively and widely, if Tauri capital ships are equipped with its own stargates, and IF YOUR VERSION OF SUPPERIOR TAURI UPGRADED PUDDLEJUMPER can after passing through the planetary gate, grab the gate and carry it underneath (like F302 could) through hyperspace to the targeted system, where can be through that underslung gate unleashed planetary palyoad of drones from single de-facto "fighter" - With different "payload" - i.e. the weapon aiming sensors and weapons switched for manipulators and tools, the drones can be used for extra-fast repairs and building. And that goes for ships and stations in space and buildings (incluidng bunkers) on or under planetary surface.

I could rant for days about how much the Atlantians suck. Highly advanced but no imagination. As if it had been bred out of them after they left the Ori behind. The Replicators, in spite of their genocidal tendencies, at least went about attacking the food source. A tactic which surely hurt the Wraith on some level but given the number of habitable worlds it amounted to peeing in the ocean. They're more like their creators than they'd like to admit.
