I really was upset by the way the team treated the documentarians. They should have recognized how important what they were doing was. Especially Daniel. Being an archeologist, wouldn't he have given anything for a documentary made by the Ancients about their original construction of the Stargates?

I think it's less on the importance of it, and more on how it feels like their selling themselves out for a tv documentary that might not ever go public, plus having all the camera crew people shoved in your face 24/7 while you're trying to do important work is also another reason they treated them so harshly. (And only now do I realize your comment is over 10 years old.)
