The only diference is that the Ori are Stargate SG-1 Big and Final Baddy (WAY stronger than those insects from Atlantis) while the borg were just one amongst several other powers (some even might say that the Dominion were worse than the Borg)

That was an amazing reaction there in the end. Every single fan died inside a little seeing our team just get absolutely obliterated with no chance of even escaping. I think this is considered to be the 2nd best season finale of any SG1 season after Lost City in season 7. We're not used to our heroes losing so badly. And it seems like it's impossible to win against those ships.

Just making note of the fact that while the ha'ataks (go'uld mother ships) are getting bodied left and right, the ships that were able to take multiple hits and still survive were the earth ships and the Asgard ship. The earth ship that was destroyed took at least three shots before it was destroyed, with two of those shots hitting simultaneously. Gives an idea of how far shield technology has improved for the earth ships, largely thanks to the Asgard.

My favourite part of the battle was the three Lucian Alliance Ha'taks showing up RIGHT after we have just seen how Ha'taks are basically pieces of paper to the ori weapons. It was like "oh hell yeah we have help- oh, never mind"

Those of us who entered for the chance thought we'd get a small speaking part but this is what she won. This finale remains one of the best ever space battles with the best ever music too. That ending really had us shook when it first came out, especially as you don’t know if it’s the Odyssey or the Korolev that’s gone. Still, it was cool seeing two Daedalus class ships together for the first time.

I mean theoretically yes, we don’t know which earth vessel got destroyed. However, the Russians are given a Daedalus class ship and one is destroyed in the series finale, you can guess with very high certainty that the Russians got bodied.

They didn't do shit to the Asgard but the Asgard only had the 1 ship and it was an axillary vessel. A fleet of Asgard capital ships or Tau'ri ships with Asgard beams would have ended this battle in about 30 seconds.

As Daniel Jackson already said in the Merlin episode, Exaclibur and the sword in the rock are two completely different swords. Exaclibur come from the lady in the lake.

Correct. In most versions, the one sword in the stone is known as Caliburn. In recent retellings, they combined the two to shorten the stories (some movies and more recent books that are really abridged versions).

"We shoulda went to Origin!" made me laugh out loud xD Camelot is easily in my top 5 favorite episodes. I think it was actually in my top 3. It just has everything, and the final battle, the tone, the stakes, the grandeur of the utter defeat. Saw this live and then we had to wait for the next season to start. I ran through so many theories with my friends about how we were going to get out of just this one scene. Wondering who survived and how. Pretty sure Daniel died (again) and/or ascended lol. Carter stranded. I just love the stage that this scene sets for the rest of the series.

This fight just showed just how much the Ori(or Ancients for that matter) really outclassed everyone. They send some of the strongest ships we had seen until this point(in our galaxy) and they just got wiped of the board like it was nothing. Also i really liked that Russian general was sad to see him go but he went out fighting.

I love how the characters' fates were left ambiguous on purpose. One of the 304s went down, but which one? The Odyssey is "our" ship, we don't want to lose it and Emmerson to die, but it has no main cast characters aboard, so it would make sense for it to be the one that got destroyed. The Korolev is the russian ship, and russians always get wiped out in Stargate...but Mitchell and Daniel were aboard. Mitchell was talking about launching the 302s the last time we saw him, but we don't know if he made it off, and what about Daniel? And we don't want Chekhov to die either. Did both 304s get destroyed, and they just didn't show the second one on camera? Plenty of Ha'taks got destroyed, was one of them the one Teal'c was aboard? Is Carter still floating in space, with limited air and no ships to rescue her? Did Kvasir's ship get destroyed too? Who's alive and who's dead? Tune in in 4 months to find out!

Oh man... Stargate definitely should have stuck to ancient cultures. This Arthurian stuff makes no sense. Why do people look like on a Renaissance fair? There was no connection between distant planets/galaxies and Earth during that time. It just looks cheap and uninspired.
