You choose the perfect day to get back on the water after a while 😊. Never seen such choppy water where you paddling.

So seldom those oppurtunities come by so I try to grab them when they do. For choppy water; below is a session I had a few years back...😲kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2q9aWd-n5WAa6s

You like to play Russian roulette? 😂 No fall allowed! How cold is the water now? Nice downwind on the way back!

Haha, not really😂! The intention was to go further but the wind was a bit too strong for me to be able to do that, couldn't resist a session in those conditions though...:). The water is about 8 degrees, and temperature in the air was about 11 that day. Forthcoming weekend will be below zero in the air.

@ 8 is really cold… I remember falling in a 13 degrees water and it took me 5mn to remount instead of the usual 30 seconds. No more muscle power!! I even thought about swimming to the shores as it was just 30 metres away (not a beach but some rocks at the bottom of a cliff).

@@kayakintro That sounds bad, I wouldn't want to get into that situation! Must have taken a long time to get warm after that?!

@ I stayed in the hot bath for hours 😂 Now I am very cautious with cold water. This Saturday I am collecting a sea kayak double, it’s 730 cm long 😅 and 58 cm wide! I believe I beat all surfskis in the choppy water here. Have to race them to find out. Only a surfski double would be faster, and it has to be the longest ones because a Epic V8 Double is only 670x57. The Nelo 600 I paddled was only 600x60.

@@kayakintro I can imagine, cold water is no fun at all, and it can go very wrong. I'm glad it worked out fine in the end for you:)!
