Often revisit this track. Such a wall of sound, melodic and intense.

Power metal/ industrial melodic death metal is not very popular in general, but especially not in the United States, and they are taking a chance by doing this genre. That type of music is much more popular in Scandinavia and Western Europe (Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Switzerland). The type of metal big in the United States is metalcore. If you like this band, Mechina is another band from the same state (Illinois). I suggest checking out their discography. They’ve been around for 18 years.

At first I was wondering why it sounded a bit familliar . Then I read the description and saw Coen. I'm pretty sure he did more that just the piano cause that sounded a lot like old Epica!! Starkill is amazing so far. From Fires of life up to now!!

hm. pretty damn sick. has a hint of wintersun in there.
@CofeeAuLait5 жыл бұрын

Great musicianship... Doesn't the guitar player install his own stainless frets on all his guitars? If so, may I ask him some questions? Via here, or email or whatever is easist for him please. 💝💝👍👍 I'm wanting to do the same stuff on my guitar...
@Starkill5 жыл бұрын
yeah man, feel free to comment here. The first thing I do when I buy a guitar with nickel frets is immediately pull the frets and put steel ones in, even if the fret job is immaculate. I used to wear down my 12-24 frets within a year or so, to the point where having consistently perfect action wasn't possible. Had my first steel fretted guitar for 5 years and never had a single bit of fret loss.

@@Starkill Thanks very much. Very cool. May I ask where you buy your stainless frets? Are they already cut to length or do you do that after buying a longer length? I see individual stainless frets for sale on Amazon I think it is. After you hammer them in and level them, what tool(s) do you use to round them again and take the corners off?? Is it much harder to level and crown? What about radiusing the frets to the fretboard radius? I mean, do you buy them already curved for the exact radius or do you hammer them in and make them adapt to your guitars radius? I saw online you don't have to over radius stainless frets like you do the old nickel silver frets? Sorry for all the questions, but saw you on a rig run down and it was cool. I'm old school, but into comouters because in the 90s I returned to school and studied comouter science. I think you also use an AxeFx don't you, or some modeling device? My memory may be wrong. The 70s are killing me. 😂 Hope you and rest of the band are well. Take care kind sir and thanks again in advance.

@@hoosierdaddy2308 I get all my frets from www.philadelphialuthiertools.com/ They will pre-radius the frets for you. You basically just need to have a solid pair of fret pullers, fret cutters, a very fine triangular metal file, plenty of masking tape, a fret rocker, a notched guitar straightedge, and then sand paper going from 400-2000. And a metal fret end file. The most arduous task is cutting the frets to length and then sanding them flush to the fretboard. That right there is about 70% of the job. I like to go overkill and do a final polish with 8000.

@@Starkill Thanks man. I truly appreciate the tine and trouble you took to answer my dumb questions. Very cool. I have an Ibanez S series from Japan I want to do. This one though, unlike my other Japanese S series doesn't have the low pro edge and slim neck, but has a gotoh 2 point bridge ( fender like ) and gotoh locking tuners. It also has a thicker V shaped neck which I personally love. I find most Ibanez necks too thin, but I come from the Zakk Wylde school of playing. 😜 Again. Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule. I know you're really busy. Hope you and yours are well and much success to you and the band. Killer guitar playing sir. Tim.
