I remember playing Monday mas with Starlift in 1969 when they won their first title with Kitchener's "The Bull." I traveled from Mt. St. George Youth Camp that year to play mas on the big stage for the first and only time. Desperadoes Steel Orchestra- Lord Kitchener's "Margie" were Panorama Winner 1970). That is a fact, that year I came into funds too late and had to spend my first Carnival in Tobago.

Pan on the Move was Starlift 1970 Panorama tune, I played with Shell Invader but on carnival Tuesday they guys from the East had left before the band headed back home, when they and Starlift clashed, their were always mixed reasons as to how it evolved. In 1971 they played Pan on de run..Not long after Phase II was on the move too...

Best Steelband ever! Queen of the Bands - best steelband music ever and of course their version of the Beatle's Pennylane. Was it Starlift who played Trinidad Jack?

My favorite Starlift panorama arrangement is dudu yemin by mighty Sparrow with which Starlift won panorama in1978.
