I grew up with the 2002 soundtrack but never saw it live! There are so many things here I love - the Marshalls’ trick jumps are very cool, and the collisions becoming fights is not what I expected. I also love the little look Espresso (or whoever it is next to Poppa) gives when Poppa sidles up to the start of the course, just a wordless ‘wtf is he doing here??’ And it is decided that Dustin is definitely my favourite partner car - he’s just so happy to be with his friends, cheering them on and hyping them up, and I especially love the fact that he’s the one to point out to Rusty that Pearl’s in trouble. He’s got his priorities in the right place 😋

Ich wurde 2001 von meiner damaligen - aber leider kurze Zeit später verstorbenen - Verlobten als große Überraschung in den Starlight Express in Bochum eingeladen. Es ist für mich bis heute eine unvergesslich tolle Erinnerung, die ich nie vergessen werde und wofür ich sehr dankbar bin! RIP Cathryn ❤

Fun Fact: In Broadway, the races did have starting and ending locations, such as the final race being from Phoenix, Arizona to Los Angeles, California. The Mexican tour of Starlight Express, which was known as Expresso Astral, also had its own locations for the races. I love this musical, these races are always fun to watch! I originally heard about this musical via the Thomas the Tank Engine community, went into the 1984 album blind, and then became a fan of the show! I love rewatching the older clips of it, too. It’s cool to see what they changed over time

It gave live to Thomas the tank engine - Andrew lloyd Webber presented the idea first, and they thought it was silly but he went on with it and we have seen the results - my favourite musical and returning back to London this June- over the moon. Then a few years later Thomas made it on children's TV. ❤

I wonder if you have to pay extra to get a seat near where they fight, lol! Despite knowing the story and this the outcome of each race, I caught myself rooting for my favorites and booing the cheaters.😅 ...and staring at CB’s butt lol. But seriously, I am wicked impressed by the professionalism, so many things could go wrong and yet it all looks so natural and epic! Love it, man I gotta see this thing live someday, top of my bucket list.

You always have to pay more for the best seats. There are seats that can't spin, which kinda sucks, but they cost a little bit less than the seats that do spin. in the end they still cost more than other seats because they're in the middle of the show.

Not really... you pay for the view. when i went there with my family, we sat next to the top track, center a bit to the right and at the ?3rd race? they fought right infront of us... but no extra price for that... its more luck based

Each area has its specific price range. At the bottom in the middle those are the most expensive, the seats in the back in that pit are already a bit cheaper. The two side pits down there in front of the stage are a little bit cheaper too. In the upper storys it basically is priced by how near you are seated by the tracks. The angles does make a little difference too though if i remember correctly but there aren't specific seats that are more expensive than the rest of the block

Respekt das man alle 3 Rennen aufgenommenen hat. Den Mumm muss man auch erstmal haben und Glück das keiner kam um die Aufnahme zu unterbrechen. Mich wundert nur eins als Kind habe ich damals mit meiner Mutter und als Jugendlicher mit meinem Vater Starlight Express gesehen. Da hat Greaseball zweimal einen Frühstart gemacht. Anscheinend heute nicht mehr. Ein kleiner Unterschied zu damals 😊

Just watched it again, it’s cause C.B is the one to physically uncouple her and take her spot, either she’s jealous/upset or worried for Hashamoto cause C.B already wrecked Turnov. But given that she’s part of Electra’s cohort it’s probably the first one

As much as I can agree when it comes to the helmet change, it was stated in a video that one of the actors said that the train helmets were hard to see through. As disappointing as that aspect was, there is at least a reason for it.

Das wurde heimlich mit dem Handy gefilmt, da gibt es keine Kameraführung und man muss aufpassen, dass man nicht rausgeworfen wird. Wir hätten gar keine Aufnahmen von dem ganzen Rennen, wenn da nicht jemand mit dem Feuer gespielt hätte.
