My friends (the creators) are very pleased that you liked this hack. One of them showed me this video and we were amazed that you noticed this and played it, because we have been watching you in videos for years, and love your work. The "TPWC" hacks tagline stands for "Two Person Working Crew", because it's primarily my two friends who made this game, along with the original Starlight Mario hack. Though I didn't contribute to the games as they were being made, I watched the progress from the sidelines and we're all happy in our server that you liked them so much. Thank you.

Eden here, I helped work on the hack by inserting the music into the ROM manually and a couple other secret tidbits (If others can find them!). Essentially the reason why it couldn't stretch beyond 3 worlds was that by default SMB1 was tight on space and the level designers already ran out of objects to use by then. Even so, I still thought it was an appropriate length given how long each level already was. Seeing this recording is pretty funny at times.

I have always preferred when hacks make the stages manageable, so that it feels like it could be an actual official game; I am aware that those super-hard hacks are for people who want an extreme challenge, but I find it more fun and more interesting when the stages start off easy and then gradually introduce new things. Also, the super-hard hacks tend to be hard in unfair ways, like invisible blocks right before pits and things like that.

Another good one I found is called "a plumber for all seasons" Mario goes through levels and the seasons change spring, summer, etc etc. It's pretty good

Hey Mike you should consider trying Starfox EX. It's a brandnew Star Fox SNES hack with all new levels. It is extremely well done and graphically superior too

Ed Findlay, the guy who did a redesign of the Jekyll and Hyde game, has redesigns for CastleVanias 2 and 3 out. They're for play on PC Windows.

you should put a very subtle low pass on the audio (just shave off the ultra high frequencies), i think that high pitch hiss from the crt is coming through pretty good on my laptop. Wicked cool romhack though.

You were asking about good zelda 2 hacks the other day...I just played through Amida's Curse, which you played a little bit of, and I can tell you it's the best zelda 2 hack I've played by far. They eliminated the constant random battles so you can explore freely...the low health beep is gone...the world and levels are well designed and unique. I would definitely recommend trying that one again.

This is a really interesting looking. Love it. Jekyll & Hyde is a funny game to me just because as a kid it was one of those I'd never even seen anywhere. I don't think I knew Bandai even had NES releases.

The hack only has 3 worlds due to the levels using all the block data in SMB. There simply wasn't enough for more than 12 levels. It's short, but sweet.

34:00 just a cooling fan likely getting old... you could have probably replaced it for like $20 bucks. I've done thermal repastes on ps3/ps4/xbox et al. About a 30 minute job. There's not much in there and not nearly as meticulous as a laptop.

I STRONGLY suggest checking out The Second Reality Project: Reloaded. It's my favorite Mario ROM Hack of all time and is an absolutely content-packed unofficial sequel to Super Mario World. It's hard, and I think you would like it a ton.

The music choices were pre-determined; as inserting them took days of hex-editing and troubleshooting to make sure they fitted, not as easy as it sounds! Given that it was released before Halloween.....
