The legend of Harry Warden began in 1961, when the fellow and his miner co-workers were working on Valentines Day, when one of them accidentally caused the cave to collapse, trapping everyone inside while their bosses were 2000 feet above dancing. Eventually, they sent out a search party. Two weeks later, and they found what was left. But they weren't from the collapse. They found Warden gnawing on a forearm of one of his co-workers. He ate his co-workers in order to survive. Warden was deemed insane and was sent to a mental institution. Eventually, he escaped, donned his old mining gear, killed his bosses for ignoring them, and placed their hearts in candy boxes the time the next Valentines dance rolled around. And to this day, though he might be dead, people still fear when Valentines rolls around.

Damn that was beautiful. Definitely subscribing after that. As I am someone who lives in what was coal mine country with thousands of unmarked mines, "My Bloody Valentine" is well known. Awesome rendition of the song. Really wish more folk would make more music about mine country, even without a vengeful miner out here the mines can anyone a loved one. If anyone is curious, one of the mines near to where i live was the sight of a massive loss of life in less than 1 minute. 120 men lost in the span of 45 seconds because of "cold damp" a volitle gass that once ignited left few survivors.

It's certainly a surprise to hear a Valentine's Day song during Halloween season. You have subverted my expectations! I enjoyed the melody of this song very much too. It's sounds traditional and I really like that. Horror movies often take place at home where we are most vulnerable, where we should feel safest. I have always found this very interesting. How even more interesting that this song is about Valentine's Day, a day of love when our hearts are most open to others. However, there have been many crimes of passion committed on this day from jealousy or malice, or even just crime like the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. I wonder if maybe this curse comes from all of the trauma, both physical and emotional released on such a day. What do you think? Olet todella metsän henki, Katja. Happy Halloween!
