so the diameter of the starlink mount pipe is 1 1/4? or 1 3/8?

the outside diameter of the starling shaft is 1 3/8 - also my buddy mounted his starlink using an existing HughsNet mount and he removed the "locking pins" from the starling pole (which pins to the base) and used the existing holes vs. drilling new ones to mount on the hughesnet base. I love DISRUPTION. Look around you'll start seeing Dishy everywhere :)

@@shuiqlazam awesome; Thats exactly what i plan to do. Reuse a Hughes net mount. id prefer to mount to the side of the house vs drilling into the roof just need to make sure the dish can clear the roof with space to move. Thanks for the info!

Should have mounted it on that duct already coming thru the roof...no extra holes in the roof and out of the way from the next shingle replacement.

Man that pipe adapter kit looks PERFECT! Going to see if this is available in Canada cause I see there's a backorder going on with the ones at Starlink and there's a few people where I'm at awaiting the dish to ship. BTW what a really nice location and place you have going on there Shawn!

did you get the pip adaptor in the video?
@RogerDiotte3 жыл бұрын
@@Moonwalker6969 No didn't find them here in Canada...YET. Very good idea though this product! So anyways, apparently the diameter of the starlink base is 1.3/8" diameters from Shawn in the video. Then the actual starlink when placed in the base does slightly wobble in there so it could even be less diameter. Now I'm wondering if you happen to have your own Bell Satellite Dish arm (Dish-DirecTV in US) and if you cut the pipe just below the elbow would it work to allow the Starlink arm to slide in?

@@RogerDiotte i have my old bell dish on the roof still and two poles and i just wouldn't know how to put the dishy on the stuff that's already mounted on my roof

Ladder safety; your ladder does not appear to be locked in properly. Everyone please be careful with your ladders!

I would never make a hole in the roof. Just use a satellite dish vertical wall mount. If you have three points on the wall, you can extend the tube to the desired height.
