Not really what led to victory Hun... On 1 side they had the russians that dont give a F about their people so they kept trowing ppl at the Germans, on the other hand the Allies and they had outnumbering tanks and materials ect ect ... About 35 yrs later good ol’ Vlad Putin took over the task from the Max character in Berlin, and portrayed here in the first starting scene’s. Apart from -history repeating itself- these tv series are excellent. Story/Narrative/Production/Acting are all above average. It’s about time, imo, that the EU and Russia have closer ties/agreements/acceptance for each other. Culturally they have always been part of (Eastern) Europe. Cheers!

11:10 that was not Polish-Soviet border. In 1941, the League of Nations recognized Poland in its old boundaries, as temporary occupied by Germany and USSR. Hitler and Stalin on the other hand recognized no Poland at all, as they agreed to split it amongst them - for ever, according the secret Annex of the Ribbentrop-Molotov protocol. On short, between 1939 - 1941, that was the border between the nazi Reich and the bolshevik USSR, both being empires of evil.

Well, if I remember correctly they spent 5 months and a half loosing a hell lot of e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g especially people. Then had to -- and managed -- to somehow adapt their memes to the reality: Change, or watch your whole nations be annihilated. Not that they succeeded all at once defending their capital against 1.1 millions Wehrmacht troops in December 1941. But they definitively started to. PS But did the Polish, French, even the British or Yugoslav did much better at the beginning of the onslaught?

Love this Russian movies about the spies and Second World War, but it's REALY this subtitles are nightmare you can't watch and read in the same time. It will be cool if the Russians could make an English speaking dubliaj.
@georgevlavianos14014 жыл бұрын
Listening to the original audio is essential in evaluating artistic quality. Dubbing destroys the actor's performance and the director's work. Subtitles of course can be nightmarish (bad translations included), demand attention and visual details can be missed, but they leave the audio-visual content of the film intact.

NOt sure if the Russians are that history-ignorant or ... anyway there was no "Granica Polski" as then it was under German and Soviet occupation. That sign as any polish gov. markings would be taken down and replaced either by german or russian (depending on side) sign. Beside that it is a fun film to watch.
