Just to let you know I live in the south of England. Left school at 16 joined the army I have been on active service. I then became a nurse and paid tax and ni for nearly 50 years most of which has been on minimum wage. So why do we all hear that we are all wealthy. In the south.our rents are higher the houses are 4 times as much to buy. Cost of living is higher. Yet we get the same minimum wag .so cut the crap we are sick of hearing it

I'm a southerner who has worked full time since I was 16 . I'm now almost retired. We're still losing our winter fuel payments, having all our open spaces filled with housing developments to house uninvited visitors to our country, being threatened with having a pay per mile scheme, loss of free bus passes, prescriptions etc etc etc. Also unless you work in London, our salaries are no higher than the northern part of the country and yet our house prices are almost double. I think this country is in a bad enough state already, we all need to stick together ,so let's not start up a north/south wrangle.

When this Pm was canvassing and again when he won the election and made his first public speech. He said blatantly in front of the press and cameras that “ the people of the country come first and politics come second. That’s turned out to be the first lie. Utility prices were allegedly coming down and then he wants to put taxes up, well I didn’t study economics at school, but if you put taxes up that effects everything from food heating, fuel rent and utilities, it raises all those things and much more. Is this the way to reduce the population of our country who allowed entry of Eastern Europe migrants and victims of war torn Syria Afghan and Iraq. When are government going to wake up and realise we are a small island that needs help first not other countries. We are being dragged under and into poverty of the Victorian era.

Only way that can be stopped, is for the outdated First Past the Post system to be resigned and for Proportional Representation put in its place. All votes will count and and will be proportionally be represented in Parliament. Labour only got about 30% of the low turn out, but come out with over 400 plus seats in Parliament; Reform got 17% with 5 seats and Lib Dems got 13% but 75 seats! This is not how it should be in a democratic country. I'm sick of the "two party" system dominating Parliament.

Under Sunak pensioners got good increase in pension income in such bad times. Help was given when help was needed. Under Sunak, pensioners got help with energy cost and cost of living. Last year, pensioners received £300/or £200 + £300 in the hard times. Pensioners also received 8.5% state pension increase to help with eating and heating. Now Labour in government, some pensioners will die of freezing cold. Betrayal!!!! People who voted for Labour must be very angry now. Yes, we all are!

Kier Starmer promised not to raise VAT. I have done a quick calculation that an increase of 2.5% in VAT would raise £22.1 billion. It has been reported that £9 billion of the alleged £21 billion is caused by the Labour government increasing public sector wages in any case.

The new voting card for registered voters is not as it seems because it does not include British citizens ONLY.
