One of the issues about everyone going to university is this. The idea of having a degree has become completely devalued because so many people now have one, in subjects that are so vague as to be meaningless, and required little work to achieve. I have a close relative who by his own admission did absolutely no work at all, yet very narrowly missed getting a first in "business and marketing". All he has to show for it is huge debt, and all he learnt was how to drink like a fish. He is now doing a job that in no way needs a degree. Fine work Blair.

Believe me, this is not about quantity of educated people, but all about quality of education. Also personal attitude, your ambition is most important thing when you have your degree at hand. Problem in UK is with workplaces and their managers, who has some kind of work traning and no specific education at all. This is no way can be acceptable in different countries. They are taking places, which must be for postgraduates. Experience is very important as well as knowledge. English people, especially working class doesnt respect knowledge: many people doesnt know how to spell English words, doesnt know how to read or write?! At 16 years old school is over if you want it? This is nonsense, you became adult at 18 years old only.Even at this age is difficult to understand what do you want to do in your life. And to start school at 5 years old is nonsense too. Child must be able to understand and learn things, not to play games in the school. We had an experiment many years back in Lithuania: 6 years old children to be accepted at schools first classes. Normally education started when kids were 7 years old. So,that experiment failed and 6 years old classes was left as 0 or 'getting ready for school' classes, not a proper school programme.Dont know what situation up there at the moment, but back then we had very serious and difficult programs in all subjects. When we moved in UK my girls had 'holidays' compare to what they had to do in Lithuanian school.I was told by teachers that Im first mum,who is asking why kids doesnt have homework? What you can learn just sitting in the class and listening ( if listening), and not memorizing anything,as math, physics, chemistry formulas or grammar rules? Your brain doesnt work properly and gets lazy. Lefties coming up with 72 genders and has so many fallowers definitely not from very good education. Sorry about mistakes, never learned English language.

Starmer's mistake is apparently a huge JOKE to many people. He (and they) should be made to watch the Nova film "We Will Dance Again" at least three times. When Starmer said sausages instead of hostages I felt physically sick. There is no way in the world that he could have made that slip of the tongue if he gave a toss about them. This is no laughing matter. It goes way beyond incompetence. Starmer clearly doesn't give a damn for 120 innocent babies and children deprived of love and light, young women who are being raped, elderly being abused. We know that many if not most have been murdered, without a single visit from a humanitarian organisation and Starmer - pretending to care - throws them into his speech. Which he then botches. His 'mis-speak" speaks volumes.

NetZero.... Start by insulating the social housing and old peoples homes. Don't charge people high standing charge, it makes them getting solar and renewables pointless unless they are totally off grid. Try pushing self charging hybrid vehicles rather than EV which we don't have infrastructure for. Close drax which is destroying Forests! Promoting solar on carparks, buildings and homes so that it's local to area, and doesn't destroy farmland and countryside. Gas is less pollution than importing products and LPG from abroad. Let's make Britain great again. Wealth for all and promoting invention like in the past.
