(here's a tiny story) After *Hundreds* to probably *Billions* of genocide runs, Sans, The Skeleton has seen it all. he has experimented with different timelines. different versions of him.. they never worked. Former Time Trio, Karmatic Time Trio, Karmatic Time Forward (and backwards). Second Chance trio, Rest Time Trio..and etc.. they always failed. He even decided to go on genocide runs on his own. and met, just like with the other trio's, murderous versions of himself. New trio's formed like a moth to a flame. Murder Time Trio is a good example. but, it was no different. even after phase 5, they always melted/lost. That trio failed also. He decided to keep on going with his genocide's. And where did that lead him? To the Dusted Karma's, Dust Time Trio, Trio Of Revengence, Dusted Recollections. But No. No Matter what, it always failed. He even went to quartets such as Heroes Time Quartet. Dust!Former Time Quartet. Ending Time Octet: Dusy Arrogance. But No. It Failed. Just Like Dusted Ending. Even with help from the ุ฿₴Ɇ₴₴ɆĐ ₥ุ₦₴₮ɆⱤ, The plan failed. until one reset, He truly, was finished with the genocides. As he grabbed the save star. and told the human specifically, strictly, firmly, and Promisingly. *"Heya Kiddo. its been quite a very long trip eh? throughout the "Flawless" attempts at beating you.. or throughout my "Last Breaths", you never gave up. your determination is truly something else. you've hit me with a "Second Betrayal". There were even times where even "Karma" showed you no mercy..and you somehow prevailed. I Lied saying this would be your "Last Genocide". You always found "Something New" to somehow beat me with. Or the attempts of an even "Harder Mode". but no. you just kept going...and going.. So here we are, in the classic judgement hall..the classic timeline. this, will truly. and I promise this with my soul. This will be. Your Last Run."* *"Oh, yea, by the way.. you won't need this."* *[ You Cannot Save ]*

So in the current timeline the player fighting, sans has already finished his genocide route, and then grabbed the save star after the player save their file in it and then deleted player's save file and won't let they save again. Therefore the player only has one attempt to defeat sans, if they fail they will be completely trapped in the save screen and won't be able to respawn, or kicked out of the game. Is that right?
