this is late, but oh well lol. in my opinion, the way they ended it was perfect. this is going to sound cheesy, but i think anne and gilbert’s love was so much more than what you can put into words. an ‘i love you’ wouldnt have done it justice, as its impossible to articulate what they felt for each other. you could see it in the acting, though, the way they hugged and spoke. like they had loved each other for all of eternity. i think that that was better than any dialogue they could have possibly added. :)

It didn't work because non of them could read it, so in the final they need express themselves with another thing than words. That's why Gilbert kiss Anne first and then she kiss him in response of his question. (hope you can understand my point, english isn't my mother language)

I don't know how the season is gonna end but i really wanted to Gilbert to tell Anne "I've loved you ever since you broke your slate over my head that day in school",that is something he said in the third book when Anne and him finnaly get together after...6 years?,and i know that he probably won't cause they are around 16 and 18 here and the way this show biult their relationship is different,but i seriously would love to see Lucas saying that,it is one of my favorite Gilbert's lines ever.Anyway,i really hope there's at least a hope for them in this show at the end cause i love this Anne and Gilbert😍

But the fortelling in the scenes that I can remember: Gilbert’s Dad’s funeral, when Anne cut her hair and appeared at school and every was like (😱) but Gil says he was glad to see her 😍, Prissy’s wedding, and he stared at her with 😍 eyes, and I believe it was Bash and Mary’s wedding. Gil and Anne were sitting in church next to each other and that’s where at the end comes her famous line after Gil says, “ tragical romance and all?” and Anne replies her line, “.... remains to be seen..” 😍 That one blue ribbon that represented everything Marilla gave up for her family, she gave to Anne out of love.... and those scenes with Anne and Gilbert with the ribbon. One ribbon two couples. But this one is endgame 💙 I love that ribbon! 💙💙💙

I love this song and you captured all of their moments perfectly, the letter and how it changed from being “not a love letter” to her telling him she loved him, and the way you paired “all this feels strange and untrue” with him turning up at Winnie’s was genius! I am gonna rewatch it again IMMEDIATELY it is a masterpiece
