i knew sam personally, wonderful artiste, fantastic martial artiste, great guy... the working mens club scene around south yorkshire took a big shock when sam passed away .. thanks for the memories sam.. till we meet again mate..

For me - this was the Best TJ "It's Not Unusual" performance I've ever seen. (and I've seem them all) It's actually very tough to do Tom's most famous signature hit because its a very hard act to follow by anyone!! (there is only One Tom Jones!) RIP Sam - You did a wonderful job here and many many people will always remember you for it.

I remember Sam and his band here in Hong Kong in the early '80's. He used to sing at the Club de Luxe.I was on the music circuit and sometimes wandered over to listen to him and the band when I wasn't singing. What a voice! Sad to hear that he has passed on.

saw SAM appear at FUNNIES FUN BAR in Rochdale in the 1980s and also Bobby Ball, comedian's nightclub club BRACES, truly a giant among the tribute acts.

Sam used to work with the Ramblers early 80's in Osaka Japan, and I was their band manager, he was very humble and nice guy that everyone loves, RIP
