You know, this version of Starscream always cracked me up. As someone who read the original comics, I can tell you that he was SERIOUSLY nerfed for the kiddie cartoon. In the original transformers comic, Starscream was the ultimate Decepticon badass. The trail of dead Autobots he left in his wake was nothing sort of legendary. Megatron was actually terrified of him, knowing full well that he stood no chance against Starscream if Starscream ever wanted to take him out. Fortunately for Megatron, Starscream was much happier killing Autobots than other Decepticons. Starscream was known as the "Ace of the Air" and for good reason. Other than Starscream's completely unmatched battle prowess (not even Optimus Prime could defeat him without plot shields), the reason that Megatron made him the Decepticon Air Commander and second only to himself in rank was that he hoped that Starscream would be satisfied with that rank. For the most part, Starscream was satisfied with it. The TV show made me laugh my head off seeing Starscream acting like a coward because in the comic he was so ruthless, brutal and fearless that he was literally the Transformers' version of Darth Vader. Imagine seeing Darth Vader as a neutered, cowardly and useless nincompoop. That's more or less how funny it is for me to see Starscream this way. LOL

@@AvroBellow Marvel wrote the first storylines for the show, which also were those of the series' first comics... but they were hired specifically by Hasbro to write a narrative concept for whole Transformers franchise. The comics weren't some 'original material' the cartoon deviated from. They and the show were developed simultaneously, with the comics coming out earlier because the comics industry handled release schedules differently. (And a variant version of a title, published for an overseas market, can hardly be considered the 'original' in any case.) As with GI Joe (which used a similar development model and also had offset releases) the cartoon told a version of the stories which children's daytime entertainment would be allowed to depict and kids could understand, stirring up interest for the toys in younger viewers as the comics hopefully pleased and hooked older minds. Now that I'm done being so arch and pompous... yeah; the cartoon *really screwed up* by making one of Megatron's chosen lieutenant's such an insubordinate and useless putz. Just by his actions in the first three-episode arc, had there not been a serious manpower shortage he would've earned at least a stint in a stockade... two or three times . Megatron always was smacking Starscream around and threatening him. Yet no matter what the whiny twit's ego and screwups cost the Decpticons, Megatron never got rid of him and replaced him with, say, Skywarp. In Transformers Prime he started being presented as more of a threat... a skilled warrior and an insidious opportunist instead of a blustering, cowardly, snivelling incompetent. Megatron stated Starscream's value directly. One time, Airachnid left him in the field to be caught by Autobots, thinking Megatron would be happy to have him gone. He wasn't... in fact, he hit the roof. As commander of the entire Decepticon air division, it was a disaster for Starscream to have been captured. And with his high rank and long service, he would be a veritable gold mine for the Autobots if they successfully interrogated him.

It is a good show, it has humor, moral outlook, character development, pop culture references, even kills off a few villains (though many believe Chrysalis survived) just like its first generation did (look up Tirek and Lavan). There's a G4 Tirek as well and the fight with him is of the same quality as this one here, except G4 Tirek doesn't die, he just gets imprisoned in hell Of course the one I'm referring to is G4, called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Jusey1 That arc of the comics is non-canon, because it continues into her Fiendship is Magic arc where it's "explained" that dragons suffer extreme pain (possibly even death) from lava, while in the episode Dragon Quest dragons are shown to be 100% lava-proof, it's like a hot tub to them. Besides, the changelings were scattered by the blast and only one went in the same direction as Chrysalis, while the comic has them all land in the same place. It's up to us to decide whether the comics are canon or not, provided there aren't overwhelming plot holes, and I stand by Chrysalis is dead, there is no way she survived that fall (unless she's faster than Rainbow Dash and recovered with her wings)

+Godzilla1282 After doing a little bit of thinking, "Super Saiyan Alicorn Twilight Sparkle" would actually be kinda OP. With the combined powers of the rest of the Alicorns, she accidentally SWUNG the Sun and Moon around, because she was wasn't holding back her power enough. That alone should tell anyone how powerful her beams actually are. Also considering, that Tirek and Twilight were at a stalemate, we can assume Tirek had the same level of power, which means Twilight can easily make instantaneous shields around her to block/negate a force up to 3 or 4 times the Sun. I honestly don't know much about Optimus Prime, however I kinda doubt he has the power to exceed Tirek (and by extension Twilight).

Okay, so now i've watched every episode of season 1-5 and honestly, I did enjoy it. Yeah, I'm gonna come out and say it. I like MLP FIM. I mean, I'm not gonna watch it repeatedly and I sure as hell aint going to by any toys but I think it's safe to say that I'm now an official brony. So there. Bring it on haters. I don't care what you'll say, this show is awesome. In fact, it is the only girls show I have seen that both genders can enjoy. Young and old. Chuck Lee How the fuck do you make it through every single one of those damn cliche 'copy-paste' plot episodes? There are stupid jokes a-plenty, the writers act as if the viewers are a bunch of drooling idiots (Which I'd have to say they probably are), and THEY HAV TE COLLECT TEH 5 MAGIK ROKS TO STOP TA NITE MER! The characters are all basic and retarded (zero deviation from the usual set of cartoon cast members per tv show), leaving not much for anything unique, except for them being a stupid set of multicolored horses, vs a stupid set of teenagers. The main theme makes me want to claw my eyes and ears out. The graphical standpoint is also pretty standard as well, since it appears to use the aging flash program to be made. Overall, I say that the show is pretty crap. Not worth watching, even if all the angsty teenagers, and forty-five year old basement dwellers say otherwise.

Chuck Lee I was indirectly referring to Teen titans GO, but I kind of gave up on the series after giving the show a few dozen chances to hopefully improve on itself, as I had with MLP. Either of the shows are there simply to make money, and hell they're both doing a pretty good job regardless of quality.

Actually, when you think about it, Rainbow Dash would be getting killed *from the inside.* We see in Transformers Prime (which is a really good show, so check it out) that when Raf is ill, Ratchet remarks that energon is devastating to humans. It doesn't technically says that energon affects horses, but I figure the results would be similar as both humans and horses are organic lifeforms from Earth. In the IDW comics, we learn that the spark contains what is known as innermost ENERGON. However, one can remove the innermost energon from their spark as an offering for those they care about. But we're talking about the selfish and unloving Starscream. I highly doubt he would ever give up his energon. Starscream is also still alive as his spark is immortal. Rainbow Dash dies from the inside out having eaten his spark, and Starscream wins. Also, Starscream has gotten his body back before. Problem solved. Note that this comment was *NOT* created to start an argument. I just wanted to see if anyone agrees.
