Call it a sudden case of indigestion, but you are right, at least Nex and Ship/Weapon pack makes a big difference.

Agree on Nex definitely...it adds to the game so much but doesn't bend it so horribly out of shape as mods like Industrial Evolution do.

How about "Corner Camping", starting your own empire in one of the "corners" away from the core?
