A silly farce, shot before filming of "The Tressaurian Intersection" began. (Some of the lighting hasn't been perfected, nor has the set been quite completed at this point). Enjoy!

Of course the night shift should realize that the ship's flight recorder is recording everything they are doing on the bridge and the captain and XO will find out.

I never understood this night shift affair. An alien species who would specialize in night shift attacks could conquer the galaxy in a wheeze. They should just have two shifts A and B. So we could have ST TNG/A and ST TNG/B, twice the fun for the same milleage.

Finally some proof that Starfleet is "not" a military organization, lol.
@OpenMawProductions3 жыл бұрын
@@pwnmeisterage Only if you discount everything in TOS including Roddenberry's own series pitch which refers to it as a military. It's a military. The military does exploration, diplomacy, and engages in combat in defense of the state. That's exactly what Starfleet does.

I will respectfuly disagree. I had a little fun with the watchstanders aboard a Nimitz class carrier in port and got them to joke around a bit.

It's all about levity, balance, timing, and knowing when to stop. On both my ships, serious and funny happened on the Bridge/in the Pilot House. We had a BM2 who looked like "Souky Sales" or the Maytag Man", and 3 or 4 times he screwed up the 1MC announcement after a CONREP. CO's terse response: "I suggest you get a little proFESSIONALISM in you before you touch that thing again." I once was on the helm (USS FLINT (AE-32) in 87. I minded the ordered course, but, I shifted rudder a half a degree every 10 seconds. Eventually, the EOS (Enclosed Operating Space) or CHENG (Chief Engineer) called up on the B-Box and asked, "WHO'S ON THE HELM??!!" The OOD only said, "Mind your helm." Me, "Aye. Mind my helm, Aye, Sir." I never got written up. But, some things flew in the galley, I later heard. On my second ship, an FFG-7 class, we were in the Gulf in 88. Less than 8 mos prior, we had a new big red Single Audio Server (SAS) we called the Coke Machine. It was an expensive upgrade that was done with other equipment installed in Radio. We'd had intermittent comms issues and for some reason, the CO was unable to talk to planes. Perturbed, one day, he let himself into Radio (I think I was the Watch Sup that shift), and nobody expected the Captain. But, still, none of us yelled the customary "CAPTAIN ON DECK!". We were too mesmerized by our recently-minted RMC whacking the hell out of the expensive SAS (IIRC, way over $100,000, weighed abt 500 lbs, and IIRC the door frame had to be cut so the yard birds/NAVELEX/NORDEN could get it into Radio) with the Red circuit handset. He was channeling the previous RMC, replicating all his quirks and swear words. Captain emerged from the security curtain hearing all this cussing, missives, wailing, plaintive begging, and "YOU UNMITIGATED GODDAMN POS !!! WHY WON'T YOU WORK??!! THE CAPTAIN WANTS TO TALK TO THAT PLANE!!! F U. F. U.!!!" Whack whack, bang bang, slap slap, kick slap, pow. "You fng unmitigated goddamn POS. Why won't you work. Why? Why?" Reminded me of the sailor in Gray Lady Down, when the comms kept muddying and not reaching the surface rescue ships. "Oh, I'm ok, sir. Really. I can stand my watch. Im, ok, sir..." The Captain froze, looked at us, turned around, and left. And Chief kept wailing and whacking and swearing away. It was a priceless moment in a sea of boredom. In the Gulf. Thing is that we had loud, click-y magnetic cypher locks that also buzzed to alert anyone in Radio know someone was entering. But, Chief was so embroiled in beating the hell out of that 509+ lbs machine that he didn't even hear the cypher lock or the magnets. But, all the rest of up 4 or 6 on watch did. Even above the noisy ventilation and cooling equipment. He was a VN action officer, and I'm sure he'd seen a lot. But that. He quietly left. We never told the Chief the CO saw that meltdown. The CO never asked us anything. (Not me at least. No one got written up for not announcing the CO's presence in Radio.) I miss being at sea, esp, for things like this.

Pretty cute, although this could be the beginning of an episode of the starship crew stepping into a pile of crap with an alien species but the near war could end up with a strong alliance with another race of beans dedicated to the same mindset as Starfleet. 👍🏻

So let me get this straight... The Savage Empire was shot in the 1990s, but the Tressaurian Intersection was done in the 2010s? Nearly 20 years later? The crew look like they haven't aged a day! Have you guys been making use of relativistic velocity travel???
@TheStarshipExeter8 жыл бұрын
+Ozzman Osgood .In point of fact "Savage Empire" was shot in the 90s and "Tressaurian" was shot in 2004. The editing of the latter took about six months, but we forgot we were traveling at .9987c, which meant almost 10 years passed Earthtime. Whoops!

Siempre me gusto star trek pero estas verciones o otras historias son de muy baja calidad ,las del capitam kirk y el seños spok a pesar de no tener buenos efectos especisles para su epoca son mucho mejores !!!
@TheStarshipExeter4 жыл бұрын
Gracias por verlo aunque no te haya gustado, Gerardo. A crude English translation of Gerardo's comment is: I always liked star trek but these versions or other stories are of very low quality, those of captain kirk and spok signs despite not having good specific effects for their time are much better !!!
@Allegheny50010 жыл бұрын
I realize this was shot over a year ago, but If you are continuing the series and I hope you do, you need to pay a bit more attention to stage blocking as the opening shot showed a piece of the bridge missing and open to the sound stage. I don't know if this was oversight or if you intended to fill in with CGI but its distracting. Oh and don't feel too bad about it, if you get your hands on the VHS copy of Star Trek the movie, the first one that is, there is the scene where Kirk is leaving the air lock to rescue Spock and you can clearly see he's on a sound stage. Note this was omited from the DVD and later copies. But it shows that even big budget pro's make mistakes.
@TheStarshipExeter10 жыл бұрын
This was shot merely with the goal of getting the crew to work together before our episode was shot. The set wasn't yet complete, but that wasn't entirely the point of this particular shoot... "The Tressaurian Intersection" was the result, after this was shot, with a more-complete set.
@Allegheny50010 жыл бұрын
Noted and thanks for the reply, I have seen most of "The Tressaurian Intersection" but have been unable to find the last or 4th act of the show. If you know where to find it please post. Thanks

Didn't like this video. Writing was bad. No way a military or in the closest analogy to a navy would allow this type of non-sense on a command bridge. However their other videos have been very good.

This is supposed to be a farce anyway. However, In space there is no such thing as night or day. There really should be a complete, competent crew on duty at all times. In this case, I assume that they are at a safe location and as such can afford to have team dimvtit on duty as a training exercise.
