Jon's voice sounds remarkable and he looks to be having the time of his life. So thankful for these posts as I cannot get out and see a show. And so happy for Richie. Who gets to have such dreams come true? We all should have such fortune, but he has certainly earned it. It's nice to see hard work pay off for someone. The whole band is so talented.

I was at this show. I figured it would be really good. I’d been a fan of Yes since the Yes Album when I was a kid…BUT, I wasn’t prepared. I think possibly this was the best concert I’ve ever attended. That’s all I can say.

Two keyboards to take the place of one Rick Wakeman . . . But our Jon still sounding just as amazing as ever . . .
@rogerk55 Жыл бұрын
Chris Clark is a very capable keyboardest, the second keyboard player allows them a fuller sound, which to me is a good thing.
@johncase2408 Жыл бұрын
Let's be honest, to play some Yes songs you would need two keyboard players. Chris Clark is more than impressive if you know his musical history.
@1adneumann Жыл бұрын
It's my understanding that Clark was brought on late in the game as he had some free time? I could be wrong on that; they other kybrdist is totally capable as well. But Clark is a monster.

..and how is it the Geoff Downes usually plays with one hand in his pocket, or raising a fist in the air?
@jameshelm560 Жыл бұрын
When Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe were touring in the late ‘80s they had two keyboard players. I know, I was there. Just sayin’.

I'm not in the "no Jon no Yes" camp but thinking about it, this lineup has as much right to call itself Yes, as Yes Official does, after all this lineup does have one original member whereas Yes Official has no original members 🤷♂
@alexxbaudwhyn7572 Жыл бұрын
This is Yes. Steve Howe was on a Cruise to the Edge couple years ago, not allowing any pics, selfies wirh him if you ran into hime on the ship, not even a pic from a distance non chalantly as an assistant with him actively watched for fans with cellphones and blocked the view. Hell, even Alan Parsons and Al Stewart (Year of the Cat) and Steve Hackett let me take a selfie with them, putting their hand, arm on my shoulders. After that experience, I don't ever plan to see or hear Howe again.
@gregjenne392 Жыл бұрын
That’s a shame
@alanbegg Жыл бұрын
To be fair, Steve is a well known germaphobe, so I can understand he never ever does meet and greets or handshakes, but that doesn't excuse long distance photos.
@robertdillon9989 Жыл бұрын
Mental health should Not be held against an artist with a body of work like Steve Howe! It’s just not right ! Yes, he has some psychological problems and is a germ a phobe. Your premise that people are put on this planet to serve Your needs is egocentric.
@Paul71H Жыл бұрын
I believe Jon has said in interviews that he has some songs or song ideas for a future Yes album, ready for the possibility that he might at some point work with Steve and Rick on one last true Yes album (or as much as an album can be a true Yes album without Chris Squire). But since that looks unlikely to happen, how cool would it be if Jon arranged and recorded those songs with the Band Geeks instead? (My apologies if I'm mistaken about Jon having some songs or song ideas ready; I'm going on memory and I could be mistaken.)
