If Sistar had to disband, I'm so glad they did it this way. Not because of controversies or fights between members or their popularity was fizzling. They are simply leaving at peak popularity so each member can do solo stuff with best opportunities. And I love how they prepped Star1s and have been going out with a bang and goodbye celebration stages rather than just quietly announcing it and disappearing like so many girl groups did. It gave fans time to grieve and for Sistar to show how much they appreciated everyone. Sistar did it right.

kagnomi that's what I love about them. Now we just have to support each member individually. So different from other groups. They learned how to appreciate each other even if the company form them. There just real sisters without being related to each other.

kagnomi Exactly, and they still interact a lot on SNS, SISTAR may be disbanded (more like hiatus for me, as they said they wanted to reunite), All SISTAR sns accounts are still active and they still post content ( I hope they post stuff about each member even if they are not in Starship anymore) plus Starship still follows all of the members. I hope as well that we see them together on shows and stage again (as individuals), that THEIR bond remains as strong as it's now forever and that they do some collabs, meet often and comeback as Sistar in the near future (I hope for the 10th anniversary). They all wanted to leave SISTAR and achieve things on their own, but they will never leave eachother and their Sister bond.

I was just thinking how Hyolyn's solo career, the reason behind Sistar's disbandment, hasn't exactly taken off like I think she thought it would -- none of their solo careers have for that matter -- but you make a very good point. Sometimes it's best to leave while you're on top. At least they weren't abandoned by their label for money reasons as has been the tragic case far too often. Still, I can't help but hope for a reunion ...maybe reforming under Hyolyn's new label?

Okay so I read a theory about this music video on Instagram. Basically, the pool scene represents how Bora tends to look left out and lonely but then we see the other members sitting by the side of the pool, representing how even if Bora seems distant or excluded, the members are always there right behind her and looking out for her. The scene where Soyou and Hyorin are taking a selfie and Dasom and Bora are in the background shows how Hyorin and Soyou's careers advanced but Bora and Dasom were still always 'in the picture'. Then when Bora and Hyorin are at the front being focused on, Dasom and Soyou are standing in the background which represents how Sistar19 got popular and Dasom and Soyou weren't quite in the spotlight but still supported Sistar19. Then the part where Dasom falls on the sand is when she received malicious comments, but then Bora turns around to help her up which is showing how Sistar helped her through that. And yeah. Meta

I would like everyone to know that SISTAR is the gg with the highest no. of Melon roof hits, 103 in total and they are 2nd in position only after Big Bang at no.1. Now on Lonely.....Its absolutely beautiful, it's so mesmerizing that it hurts. The implicit sadness can be felt so precisely in every scene. I don't know why but it always seems that the final song of every group always ends up as the best comeback. I can only imagine what you guys must be going through right now. In this video, seeing them together laughing and smiling reminded us that the bond between these girls will always be strong. They seem to be disbanding on a good note, which is really good. DEAR SISTAR, Way back 2012, my best friend showed me a practice video of two girls. I had no idea who they were. My best friend asked me whom I like. I said the one wearing the gray clothes. From then, I knew they were Sistar19. A unit group of Sistar. Bora, who's wearing gray and Hyorin, who's wearing orange. After that, I started following the group. THE ONLY KPOP SONGS THAT I LISTEN TO WERE FROM THEM. I started loving Kpop because of them. And oh! Touch 'N Move is my first ever Kpop album that I bought from my first salary from my first job. Sistar is my aspiration. They are strong, independent women. I want to be like them. Going against the trend. Setting trends, instead. They are truly Femme Fatale. I learned that you don't need to be thin to be called sexy. No need to have pale skin to be called beautiful. I learned to stand up for yourself and not ask others to do so. I learned that you will still be loved without doing cute things, or being clumsy. I learned to be tough. I learned how to fight against stereotypes. I learned how to love myself. I learned it from them. When the news came out, I was on my way to my office. I was riding a bus. Cliche may it sound but I was listening to their song, "Say I Love You', when someone texted me about Sistar's disbandment. My heart almost stopped beating the moment I read it. My throat suddenly dried. I thought I was dreaming. My tears rolled down as I was reading the disbandment article while 'Say I Love You' was playing as well. I cried. Every day. Every time I remember that news. I cried realizing that when they came here in PH, it was the last chance that I could see them. I cried, regretting that I wasn't able to watch them live. I regret that I hoped they would come back here again. It was heartbreaking. And still heartbreaking. The moment they released this song, I didn't watch it. I can't. How dare am I? I felt that I'm a disappointment. I felt that I don't have the right to watch it as I am a failed fan. Now, I've gathered my courage. I watched this video. The moment it started, I cried. I was half covering my eyes all through out the video. I cried again. But SISTAR, I promise you.. This will be my last cry out of sadness and sorrow. My next cry would be out of happiness because I'm able to see you again. I promise you that I'll be stronger and I will wait 'till the 4 of you stand on stage again together. I don't know K-pop much, and only watched this because my brother suggested this song, but I felt attachment and emotion just by reading the comment section... especially your comment. They disband for the sake of their future, they disband to enter the 2nd stage of their life which mean they have to go on their own and seperated. But we need to be thankful because they disband as ONE, disband without any controversy, talented, win a lot of trophies, and the most important things' they will stay as ONE ENTITY and I'm pretty sure they'll renew their contract as individual w/ Starship and King Kong(under starship) because Sistar and Starship end their contract in good term so basically it's not a big problem. But, Eventhough they're not going to promote as SISTAR anymore but as Hyolyn, Soyou, Bora, and Dasom. Eventhough they'll sign into another company. Idfc about all of that because they'll always be STAR1's Queen and will always be the Queen of Summer. So dear STAR1, from now on we just need to look forward, keep going on to support, love, and cheer them on their individual activity because that's what they wish for ^
