I'm not comparing WJSN to any group, but I must say, I really appreciate the fact that they did a throwback to this genre of music. It is totally different to the generic concepts that plagues the kpop industry nowadays. I was a kpop stan for a while and this gave me some serious 2nd gen vibes. I've missed songs and concepts like this. Older kpop songs have such a unique sound that made me a fan to begin with, but the quirky concepts are starting to fade away. There aren't a whole lot of groups still doing this. This is probably going to be one of my favorites of 2020.

Being into kpop for so many years, it’s so rare for me to instantly like a song nowadays because everything sounds pretty much the same. But THIS was something really fresh!! This song has major Orange Caramel vibes, and I love that CHOCOME is bringing this sound back!! It’s like how Bruno Mars brought back old school R&B styles in the modern era. Even The Weeknd brought back an 80s sound in “Blinding Lights.” And to those of you saying this is plagiarism, Orange Caramel wasn’t the first group to do their concepts several years ago. Besides, what’s really original nowadays when everything’s practically been already done? I see this as more like bringing back an old style when it hasn’t been done for so long, like a “breath of fresh air,” just like how SSAK3 brought back the 1st gen kpop sound.
