Wow in the preview I said it sounded so nostalgic, and I totally agree with you. As an EXO-L I never understood why Monsta X hasnt blown up in the US. This is a certified bop and the boys have been promoting over the pond for a while. seeing them at kpop flex made the whole thing worth it. no group will ever compare to them. they are truly perfect performers; they engaged with the audience and had everyone cheering for them. jooheon's aegyo was so unexpected (I CANNOT BELIEVE I SAW KKUKKUKKAKKA LIVE) and he really got the WHOLE audience to cheer him on. i was surrounded by gg stans but they still cheered as loud as they could even though the probably they had no idea what was happening - it shows how incredible he is. and hyungwon's love dive.. Monsta X is THE ONLY group that stays true to themselves after years and years. At this point I wait for them to flop, but they NEVER DO. This is a fact. Monsta X hands down is the most versatile, unique group ever. Like at this point they've tried everything, and while they're better at some things, slayed all of it. Monsta X has a, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, very stable and ongoing quality. They make songs to feel good to, and I always feel good after listening to their songs. See, most groups, but especially in kpop, lose quality after a while. Once they've reached a respectable amount of fame, they get stuck with the same thing which they know will work. Monsta X isn't like that, they have a great, passionate production behind them and don't shy away from taking part in the production as well. And you can tell. Their music is simple, and that's what makes it so genius. They don't have a theme that is set in stone. If you like Monsta X, you will like them for a while, because they have a very wide let's call it 'expectation width'. In the past I've made the mistake of expecting pretty specific things from groups and musicians, because in their 'golden phase' they did something that I didn't see later on. But Monsta X' golden phase just never seems to stop. I've stanned them since like 2016 and haven't stopped ever since, even though I'm not even that much of a K-pop fan anymore. Those boys slap and it's always such a joy listening to their music.
