Oh man. Brings back memories. Imperial Elite were awesome and natty was one of the best. The days of 5150, S3 and I.E. will stay with me forever. T1 was never bettered in my opinion. Quick, light and adrenaline inducing. Just amazing. Never enjoyed a game as much since Tribes.

I'm turning 38 in a month and I still seldomly have dreams where I'm the actual character in Tribes seeing things as 1st person and the last time I actually played Tribes must have been 2003 lol.

I remember spending my whole summer in 99 playing this when I was a kid. Brings back memories. MrPoop Cowboy and Presto Scripts were the bomb. I cant believe I played it on aol dial-up lol. I dont remember the name of my fav. mod servers but it started with an M. It had one shot one kill blue-light lazer rifles for every armor class and in medium armor your heat sink never lost energy. Learning to ski was so cool and learning to shoot people in mid air with lazers was badass. Creating a million blast walls to cover the generators flags and entrances was funny. Shazbot! Come- Dance! Over Here! sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-shaz sh-sh-shaz-sh-shazbot! All the spamming soundbites between matches.. Good times online.

I played for TF, for my money, Natural was the best. His caps are just silly, especially when he did heavy caps. Still the best multiplayer game ever made.

So awesome! I started playing online multiplayer with Tribes 1. I didn't get into Half life until later, but liked Tribes better. Joined a clan and we were #1 in Shifter for a while (GDU). Thanks for sharing.

Best game ever made. No one came close to the gameplay. CTF, Duel, Arena and even crazy ass mods which people enjoyed 🤣

How was this recorded? Tribes had an in-game demo recorder? I wish I could have recorded some of my gameplay. I'm just a casual but I like to record fun game moments just for my own memories.

Yes, it has a demo recorder bult-in. You could then play them back using the game client, and record it with something like FRAPs or OBS.
