I remember seeing all these eps when they were new. The one Starsky was driving to the vacant lot was a '64 Bel Air 2dr post. The one that exploded was actually a '63 lol. But I doubt many people noticed. This wasn't a big difference from that distance and camera angle. And that cheap green paint job did the trick very well. I don't know what's on that valuable downtown LA land today, but I'd bet nobody knows what was once filmed on that site over 45 yrs ago! 💚

Starsky put a nice dent in the door off the Torino that was never repaired you can see it in the remainder off the first season but he hated the car in real life .and it hasn’t changed he still talks poorly about it today but that car is pure 1970,s I own a nice replica off the season 2 thru 4 Torino and it’ gets a lot off attention when I drive .great show was often imitated but was never duplicated.✌️
