That's cool. I'm surprised there aren't more self contained resonant filters.

Sounds awesome, reminds me of the Malevolents filters. Commenting before I hear the price 😂.

I have the PF-3 in yellow and, while I've always liked it, I got a lot of gear after it that pushed it onto the backburner. Well, until Cherry Audio announced their Atomika, which got me interested in messing around with it again. I also tested out running a mono signal through both filters in series for a 24dB sound that can get even more extreme 😂

I think the white one looks good too. When I bought mine they only had black in stock.

Who among us hasn’t wanted a kick ass dedicated stand alone filter to put anything thru?. Every synth nerd has a few synths that just can’t do a global filtering on and this fixes that problem. Or for whatever reason, the filter is buried in a menu like the Korg wave station or op six . Im dying to put a few synths and drum machines through this thing. Like the TR9 or TR8 that have the week filters put in that just don’t do the job. Great review Starsky like usual.

Great video! This sound so damned good, especially at that price! I'd love to see what this would should like on a Malevolent!! Can you imagine?! 😮😍

I know it's tacky af but I can't not make a joke about the wet and dry knob 😂 especially after hearing this!

I know they're two different beasts, but how would you compare this filter to the sherman filterbank 2?
@StarskyCarrАй бұрын
As you say they’re completely different. I’d go Sherman for more experimental and much wider ranging stuff, and this for raw tone.

Nice stereo filter, but it sadly misses more CV inputs, at least at the price they're asking. You can get a really great stereo paraphonic synth for a similar price, the Waldorf Pulse 2 (the filter is mono though). If the price of this filter was more like 200-250 euros with more CV inputs it would be a no brainer

How do you like Minibrute 2 all these years later?

It’s a great little synth. Really powerful given the size and price and I love that filter.

Also wish they'd included an envelope follower, because this one sounds crazy. 'Crazy' in good way; just don't give it your home address.
